The space was big enough for a decent size pit/circle and the sound was LOUD and well mixed. The lights were also pretty great filling the warehouse space with intense colors. The pit was a bit rough, but never concerning -- security intervened once. Also, it's in the warehouse district.

They didn't have water out, so you'll have to ask a bartender -- there are two bars one on the floor and one around a corner near the merch.

One oddity, bands kept asking for monitor updates -- so while it sounded good on the floor, it seems like that wasn't consistently the case for the stage.

Overall a good venue, had a great time. ?✌️

Club 1720. With both an amazing sound system and elevated stage, Downtown L.A.’s foremost club and music venue can be found at 1720, located at 1720 E. 16th St., Los Angeles, CA 90021.  From audial and sensory experiences ranging from their established dance/rave shows lasting into the late hours of the night, to the more extreme side of heavy rock and metal performances, 1720 accommodates it all eloquently.  Located near Downtown L.A.’s fashion district, 1720 is a former garment factory transformed into L.A.’s pre-eminent concert and clubbing locale, which has already garnered a reputation for being the destination for some of today’s top rap, dj, punk, and metal artists.  Pair this with 2 bars serving amazing cocktails and drink specials, and you now have your celebration destination for any night of the week.

Cool place. Bathroom sucks. The shitter is out in the middle of the floor. No TP for butt wipey. Vomit on the toilet already, daddy’s spaghetti. Go poop before you arrive. Sketchy area. Your car will get broken into. Awesome metal shows. Meet your favorite bands and buy their dope merch. Hot dog stand afterwards on the corner.

The venue sound and size is great but the location is in a sketchy part of town and the beers are INSANELY priced.

Pretty good venue. Good sound. Could have used some chairs to down on between bands. Also slightly annoying that you can’t go outside, but it is a sketchy neighborhood. We drove there and parked close and there were no issues. The bands were great!

Didnt even believe google maps when it told me I was at this place, for a concert, where were all the people? Not outside of it, there was parking everywhere, felt like I was the target of a practical joke. Then my friend shows up and we go inside and this place is awesome, the sound was great, LOUD like it should be, literally becomes an immediate favorite venue of mine, if only there were more bands I like playing there, may have to just audition some random events to experience this place again.

The venue itself was great. Love the setup with the stage, the bar, and the space to stand. I do have to say, though, the audio was terrible the entire time. For the first band, the guitar was completely inaudible. The second band sounded okay, though the vocals were too loud. The headliner, all over the place. It's like they turned the guitars and vocals to 12, then forgot about everything else. At some point, the band played a softer track with just guitar and flute, and they had the guitar so loud, you couldn't hear the flute at all. Bad live audio mixing dampened an otherwise stellar performance, which is disappointing.
It was so loud, I kept shoving my earplugs in more, and even still walked away partially deaf.

They had a cool LED display thing, though.

This is maybe my favorite venue in LA. You can park right next to the warehouse for free and the venue is awesome. Great sound and setup. I will be looking forward to returning here!
