My first instrument to own was a Kala Soprano as of Feb. 2021. I now own an Exotic Mahogany Concert Uke. I’ve purchased several other accessories for my ukes, gig bags, wall hooks, amps, etc. Each order shipped promptly, within 24hrs of purchasing. Their customer service is 5-star,
Very prompt responses each time I email them.
I would highly recommend this company.

5 stars all the way, i bought a California uke in Hawaii, the best one in the store imo.
I bought baritone strings and put it on a tenor. Then the best tuning was standard guitar tuning interestingly enough. Love that uke!

I recently purchased an electric tenor ukulele via Amazon . Unfortunately there were issues with the input jack. The response from Kala was immediate and they agreed to replace the defective ukulele. They assured me that they will inspect the replacement unit before replacing.
Update: Absolutely terrific customer service. The response from Kala was incredible and immediate and the issue has been resolved. I have other Kala products that I am extremely happy with and am confident that Kala will stand behind their products. I would highly recommend Kala if you are in the market for an Ukulele.

Hi,
I ordered my first ukulele and I'm really excited. The ukulele came safely packed. With the Kala app I tuned them and played my first chords.
The first impression: very nice instrument, well made and perfect for me as a beginner.
There are only 4 stars, because of course I have to play more often and only then the real quality of the product shows.

Kala is my go to brand for ukuleles. I own three, a solid mahogany concert, a white arch top tenor, and a Solid Acacia Tenor with 6 strings. My husband has a Makala tenor he got started on and his step up instrument a solid cedar top with paduk binding and rosette. We have only bought one ukulele directly from Kala however. Most of the ukes came from Hawaiian Music Supply. I will also add We have a ukulele group called the Reedley Ukulele Ohana. Most of the members play Kala as well.

I got a ukulele case & strap from my husband for Christmas. I needed a larger size and had a lot of trouble figuring out who to contact for an exchange as it was purchased through Amazon. When I finally figured it out, it was over 30 days and Kala would not allow an exchange ( for a more costly item and I'd pay the difference) or give me a refund. NO written policy was included in the package when I got it. I am dissatisfied with their customer service, and would not recommend ordering on-line form this company. Very disappointing.

I am a guitar player of sixty years and know a well made instrument when I see one. We bought my wife a Kala (KA-CEM) ukulele while visiting New York City a few months ago...a beautifully made uke. When "chorded", it had a nice rich sound, the neck was perfect - just a joy to play.

We purchased the ukulele and also bought a nice Kala Crazy Uke case at the same time. Without going into details, the case had some issues and we called Kala to find out what our options might be. Let me just say, the customer service at Kala is second to none. They treated us right and really made us happy that we had purchased our instrument form such a wonderful company.

If you are in the market for a fine ukulele, you cannot go wrong with Kala.

I picked up a Kala Brand Music UBass on an endorsement deal. The bass did not work on arrival and I just ended up loosing some good money by selling it as dysfunctional. A thank you to the buyer who contacted me asking where the charger was? Apparently this was supposed to ship with a charger -- but after looking in the obvious places on their website and shipping info, there is no information about that anywhere, nor did any manual come with my instrument. I had to find out from my buyer and confirm with a Kala distributors YouTube video. Obviously, if I would have seen a charger with a quarter inch cable sticking out of it I probably would have put two and two together but that wasn't included with my bass.. Support didn't think to mention this. Maybe it would have been taken care of if I had ever received a followup email. We're talking about direct sales here people.. and if they can't handle that I can't imagine what their customer service to the general public is.
