I stumbled upon Lone Crow Audio a few weeks ago on a classified web site and inquired about the Hifi Rose streamer that John had available. I had a couple of email exchanges with John and inquired whether I would hear a difference with the Hifi Rose over my current streaming device. John confirmed that I would hear a difference knowing the audio equipment I had.

After a phone conversation, I decided to order it based on John's recommendation. The streamer I was replacing was okay but I recently upgraded the amp and preamp to higher end audio equipment.

John was excellent to work with on this purchase. He shipped it out to me as soon as it came in. The OEM box was overboxed, so the carton is in excellent condition.

I would make another purchase with Lone Crow Audio in a heartbeat. I do hear a noticeable improvement in the SQ on the HiFi Rose. I wish we had more stores in the Chicago area like Lone Crow Audio!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lone Crow Audio in Santa Rosa, California, and I cannot speak highly enough about the outstanding customer service I received. As someone in search of the perfect home speakers, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of attention and care provided by the staff. I came in to demo WharfeDale Lintons and Tony moved the heavy speakers into a better listening set up which I really appreciated and was pleasantly surprised by the product. In fact, I ended up buying the demo units where they offered them at a discount which was so appreciated. They carefully reboxed the speakers and stands in their original boxes and helped load them.
The staff at Lone Crow Audio demonstrated an impressive understanding of their product range, guiding me through various speaker options and answering all my questions with patience and expertise. What I appreciated most was their willingness to let me demo the equipment at my own pace. Unlike other stores where there's a sense of urgency to make a quick decision, Lone Crow Audio allowed me the time and space to truly experience the speakers in a comfortable setting. I even asked to hear their best system even though it was way out of my budget but I just wanted to hear and see the sonic possibilities in the world of hi-fi. I was introduced to some cool songs and got to hear most songs I requested. It was awesome just hanging out and listening as if I was relaxing and jamming at home.
The demo area was well-equipped and acoustically optimized, providing an immersive experience that allowed me to assess the speakers' performance accurately. The staff members were on hand to offer insights and recommendations based on my preferences, but never once did I feel pressured to make a purchase.
In addition to their stellar customer service, Lone Crow Audio boasts an small but impressive selection of the best home speakers, catering to various preferences and budgets, albeit in the hi-fi realm so the starting points are for more serious listeners. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, expert guidance, and a no-pressure sales approach made my visit to Lone Crow Audio a truly enjoyable and stress-free shopping experience.
I left the store confident in my decision, thanks to the valuable assistance and genuine passion for audio displayed by the Lone Crow Audio team. Update: I went back to buy a REL subwoofer and HiFi Rose integrated DAC and Amp combo. This system is incredible.

I had a record player and a tape deck serviced at this shop. I could not be more happy with the service. I was greeted by two employees when I first walked in and was shown their high definition audio show room. After a few days I picked up my devices and multiple things had been fixed with the record player including replacement of audio out cables, replacement of belts, and replacement of an era correct stylus. The tape deck was unfixable it turns out, but they offered me one of their used units for sale. Both items sound and function perfectly! Additionally, the younger employee in the pony tail (i believe his name is Lucas) was super attentive to my concerns about the record player. Can't thank and recommend them enough.

John and his team are what a solid audio shop is all about. They are all knowledgeable and friendly. No hard sell, just options to discuss.

I auditioned a unit in my house, thought it was a good fit, and I bought it. Turns out it wasn’t the unit I wanted. John helped me get the right unit in my rig, and the results were stunning. It’s going that extra yard for a customer that makes the difference. John’s shop not only sells audio gear, they take care of their friends. A rare quality and very appreciated.

I bought a Sonos system from Lavish and they did not explain how to control the system adequately. It is a fairly complex system because it combines some old wired speakers with the new electronics of Sonos, so I asked them to come again when I couldn't get it to work and they charged me $250 and I still couldn't operate it successfully. I contacted Lone Crow and Tony came out the next day and spent the time needed for me to work it properly in about 1 hour. I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend Lone Crow.

I purchased some Daniel Hertz Eva loudspeakers at Lone Crow. I first heard them back in October 2023 but wasn't ready to buy. No worries, John and Tony demonstrated them all over again for me in March. They were fair about pricing even though the manufacturer has increased it since October. They were patient, accommodating, explained things quite well to my level of understanding.

All in all it felt friendly, no purchase pressure either the first trip or the second and then they accommodated my delivery schedule with ease. I've been involved with audio since the 1970's and have never felt so at ease both visiting and purchasing. They feel more about enjoying the music than squeezing every last dollar out of their customers. My new go to!

Barry and John are amazing. I picked up a VPI turntable and never heard of the brand before. I have always been a Rega guy. It blows the doors off of my old Rega turntable. The VPI table is made in America too. There expertise was off the chart. I am super grateful for Lone Crow Audio in Santa Rosa. Thanks gentlemen.
