I just attended my first event at SF Jazz to see Chris Botti perform, and it was an incredible experience. The venue is small and intimate, with a beautiful setup that allows you to clearly see the performers no matter where you sit. The seating design is excellent—elevated tiers ensure great views, beyond the floor seating with chairs.

Before the event, you can enjoy wine, cocktails, and sodas upstairs and small bites in the lobby area, and you’re allowed to bring your drinks in plastic cups into the performance.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and transportation was easy—getting an Uber or Lyft to and from the venue was seamless. Parking can be challenging in that area at night.

We had such a great time and will definitely return for another performance soon!

Upbeat and enjoyable jazz night at the SF Jazz. The atmosphere was inviting. The Quartet group with Nicole McCabe played their hearts out. I would go watch other shows.

This building down to it's last nail was created to host live jazz performances, educational and inclusive community events, jams and classes. It's got a 100% extraordinary DNA of excellence. The music hosted here is ALIVE and every time I attend (like tonight's Jazzmeia Horn experience) I feel like I'm witnessing history being born. The knowledgeable volunteers really make me feel welcome. And it's comforting to know that the vast and ever expanding archival and livestream offerings online are available for when I can't be there in person. So grateful!

Heading to SFJazz is always a highlight of my week! This vibrant venue never disappoints, with its schedule brimming with diverse jazz acts from around the globe. Whether you’re a seasoned jazz enthusiast or new to the scene, SFJazz offers an intimate atmosphere that truly celebrates the spirit of jazz. The presentations have this unique informal touch that makes each performance feel special and inclusive, creating a welcoming environment where you’re surrounded by fellow jazz lovers.

One of my favorite features is the bar that remains open during performances, allowing you to enjoy your favorite drink without missing a beat. Plus, the venue is thoughtfully designed with easy access to elevators for those seated at the balcony, ensuring everyone has a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

The only hiccup might be parking, which can be a bit of a challenge in the area. I always recommend arriving at least 40 minutes before the show to snag street parking. Personally, I love making an evening out of it by arriving an hour and a half early and dining at one of the many delightful restaurants within walking distance of SFJazz. It’s the perfect way to start an unforgettable night of music and camaraderie. If you’re a fan of jazz, or just looking to explore something new, SFJazz is a must-visit spot in the city.

An intimate venue, where no seat is too far away, and the acoustics are excellent. We watched Pink Martini today. The 12 member band was cozy on stage, and we were comfortable I was our seats. The staff is amazing, kind and helpful. The auditorium has a bar on the second floor. Having been to other venues in San Francisco, we recommend the Miners Auditorium.

There's no place like it in the Bay. Superb sound, not a bad seat in the house and absent of the stuffy pretentiousness one may find at many venues of this caliber.
