We had an event here and it was so good! The backstage was so roomy and the staff was so kind, in making sure everything was okay and went to plan and were there to help. The massive rooms and ceiling help the audio flow throughout the room perfectly. Also the vending machines were so nice to have.

Wonderful venue! Staff are very kind and accommodating as well as a gorgeous and picturesque location and hall. The Rite is a favorite of halls I've visited. Everytime I go it feels as if I'm walking through a castle. Definitely a must see place and site to host an event!

I went to Gaskells dance event. Just an enormous event with live music and wonderful people. I think there are like six handicap spots in the very back.

1920's Gem and I was fortunate to get to see all the levels during an event. The 4th floor auditorium is magnificent and is like stepping back in time. The main restrooms are by far still as charming with a barber shop in the mens, and a waiting room for the ladies. I can't wait for a reason to go back!

My husband and I attended a piano/vocal workshop at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland for the opera "Dolores". Although it was a private performance (the World Premier is scheduled for 2025), It was open to donors, supporters, opera companies, and family of Dolores Huerta. The location is located on the shores of Lake Merritt. There is 2 hour parking around the general area and,also appeared to have private parking as well.. The venue is quite large. I believe there are 5 floors. The elevators were large, and the bathroom were clean with a huge lounge in front of the entry to the women's bathroom. We were on the 3rd floor but when you walk into the building, the first floor had a very large foyer and you could either walk up the stairs located at the foyer, or take the elevator. There was a large auditorium or ballroom when you entered on the first floor. This venue is in the middle of the block.

The architecture is beautiful, however the seats are very small, it is difficult to find parking. The staff was very friendly.

Great event venue (a few floors of different sizes of meeting rooms) though the building was a bit old (some of facilities were a bit beat-up)!!!

Came here for an event (Boost with Facebook) hosted by Facebook! It was an amazing experience!!!

Beautiful place -history, architecture and functionality. The solstice celebration was a delight both for the participates and thr audience. Lots of talents among local musicians, singers and dancers. I liked the interactive nature of the scenario - dancing and singing together was fun. The scotish (Celtic) folklore and R Burnes as a source of it - great!
