I have found the owner to be a complete arsenal of sonic and creative wonder and I have been a returning customer since the first mix. Not overbearing or intrusive while writing recording and or mixing and mastering. Best idea wins. No ego. This place and the staff are wonderful. Come here every time my drummer is in town and we need a spot to rehearse. Honestly, wouldn’t go anywhere else in Oakland or the east bay. This is where the “East Bay Bros” were born and thrive. Thanks to all the guys at Nexus for being great hosts!

Nexus is a perfect studio if you place results over luxury. This is a fantastic live room (Drums!) and a very knowledgeable staff when it comes to recording live instruments! (Which is a dying art)— Chris, the owner, is a great hang with amazing ears. He is a hard worker who squeezes every inch of the performance and makes the final mix as beautiful as it deserves.
