I'm writing this in October, yet I took the full 4 courses here during June. While sitting here at my home studio, I realized how far I've progressed since attending Cre-8, and how I can attribute most of that to the classes I took during the summer. The teaching here is incredible, and Doug is an amazing educator who wants you to succeed. Alex, Tim, and Mariana were so helpful with anything I needed during my time there. Walking in to the building felt like a safe space, where I could sit down and just create some music. The courses go over everything you need to be successful, and if you have any other questions, Doug will be sure to help you out. Definitely recommend taking all 4 courses, totally worth the money for what you get out of it. Hope to visit soon and get back in the awesome student studio they have there!

I completed all four courses at Cre8 Music Academy and can honestly say that the experience surpassed any of my expectations. The education I received has been indispensable in my career as a musician and creative. Doug has done an impeccable job of creating the program and providing young music artists with the best resources to jumpstart their careers. Doug and Alex were superb educators and were there for me with any questions I asked. Mariana and Tim and the whole team were a positive support system during the whole process. There are many places to learn music production. I’ve been thinking which one I should choose. At the Taxi Music Convention, I met a representative from Cre8 Music Academy. After taking a tour and getting into details, I decided to try.
Cre8 Music Academy provides intense music production courses. What I really like is that I could learn a lot in a short time, which is very important. The information is very valuable. I was able to learn more in a week than I tried to learn in years. There’s a studio lab where students work on their projects and can get help and ask questions. Alex and Timmy were very helpful and patient, and Doug, who taught us throughout a course is a star! I really enjoyed how the course was presented and explained. Thank you so much!

Came to tour the school a few months back and was impressed.. and now that I’ve reached the end of the full course, I’d have to say I’m more than just impressed. Doug did an amazing job teaching the Inti8, Stimul8, and Liber8 courses, and I felt very comfortable in the environment, as well as with the information. It’s a lot to take in, but there’s nothing but benefits to the knowledge of music making, as well as their help to get you to retain as much of it as possible. Same with Alex, he taught activ8 and was a great leader and teacher, and always helped along the way! The entire staff at Cre8 is all around amazing and treat you with upmost respect and importance. I will always rep Cre8 and never feel bad about it. 100% hands down best learning experience ever! 🙂 (came all the way from Texas!) What a great experience!! I took all 4 courses and can honestly say my abilities and knowledge of music production has grown tenfold! I now have the tools to mix and master a track all by myself and achieve that professional sound I have been looking for! I completed all four core courses at Cre-8 Music Academy, at renowned Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, plus the prerequisite Piano Fundamentals for Producers course, late 2018. As a singer-songwriter, my goal was to gain a firm grasp on music production so that I may produce my own music, or at least empower myself when working with other producers. I got infinitely more than I bargained for.

Cre-8 is not for the faint of heart. If you make the wise, life-changing choice to enroll in this academy, prepare yourself for a hardcore challenge. Once you start, the curriculum does not let up until completion. Every bit of money and time invested will be maximized, this I promise. Looking back, my accelerated learning curve at Cre-8 was likely the most intense of my life.

For years I had attempted in vain to unlock the mystery of music theory. Within my first few classes, master recording & mix engineer/remixer/teacher Doug Fenske, who is the spirited & dedicated director of education at the academy, inspired the "click" I had been longing for, with his simple and logical methods. He taught me how to comprehend music theory with a tangible process I will use for the rest of my life. For this alone,​ I am forever grateful, but it was only the beginning. From there the learning snowballed.

I can now open a session on Logic or Pro Tools and create my own tracks (a long-time dream) with hands-on skills including (in no specific order) composing, arranging, programming, producing, engineering, recording, mixing, mastering, soft synths, studio set-up, digital file management, music distribution and, last but not least, an understanding of digital and analog signal flow. Equally, if not more, meaningful, my approach to songwriting, singing, "active listening," feeling ​music, and trusting my instincts, has transformed, and continues to transcend.

This stands as a ten-star review and the highest of recommendations for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of music (production); ​and also as a heartfelt "thank you" to the staff at Cre-8: Doug, Alex, Tim, Sean, Mariana and owner/industry veteran Al Machera -- my creative inspiration and confidence are on a higher plane since being under the tutelage of all of you. You guys make the world of music a better place
