I met Louise just about a week ago via email and have since spoken with her as well. I am super excited she is going to take me on as one of her 'talents.' But it wasn't just a matter of me showing interest, in order to be represented by her. Louise gave me the opportunity by taking lots of time to go over my resume, headshots, and a self-tape of a specific scenario she requested. Luckily, I got her 'thumbs up' to be part of Louise's People. The fact that Louise takes lots of time to interview/audition her potential talent is without a doubt, the sign of a hard-working, dedicated, no-nonsense talent agent. It makes me feel comfortable she will work hard for me as I will for her. It's teamwork in this biz, though not all realize that. I have been with other agents that never took the time to know or audition me which is a hindrance because how could they properly represent me. Louise is a great communicator, a really kind person and I know she is well-liked by other actors and casting directors. I feel safe with her as my agent. Trying to do this on your own; how often will you really know who is on the other end of an audition notice- plenty of scammers out there unfortunately. Update: And today, less than a week after joining her team, Louise secured me a film audition. I would say that is very fast and fully believe it is because Louise obviously works really hard to get her talent seen. : )
