The prices here are astounding. Probably worse than any goodwill I have been to. At this point it is cheaper to go to the mall when they are having sales. They keep playing the same PSA over the loudspeakers that your purchase supports jobs and your community. Well, I’m sure they’d make even more sales if things were actually priced properly.
It’s disappointing because Goodwill gets all of this for free. Won’t be back.

Store was extremely disorganized and small. Sizes were all mixed up with hangers crammed in making it hard to browse. They were playing loud, obnoxious Halloween music on Sept 30 (way too early). I got 3 t-shirts and they charged me for 4, which I only noticed after I got home because you can't see the register when they're ringing things up.

I can’t remember the last time I ever reviewed something but my experience here has left a bad taste . We went in and found a suitcase record player marked $5, we tested it to see if it worked and it did cool(mind you these type of record players are like $20-25 new and this one was in bad condition, hence why we tested it). We found 4 identical plates and one plate had a price for $6 and written on it said set (4). We get to the register and some older lady said “oh I seen you tested the record player, $5 is not the price it’s $10. Do you want it or not?” Whatever we paid it, she gets to the plates and picks up the one that didn’t have a price and says “oh there’s no price how’s $3.99 each?” Then sees the price that was marked and was like “oh that doesn’t seem right but I guess so”. Look I don’t mind paying a price for something we want, $5 more for the cheap record player is fine, but why label stuff then make prices up at the register? I hardly ever stop at thrift stores because the prices are getting higher and higher for inventory that get donated to a store for free. I will never visit this location again and will detour my family from going.

Sheesh. First the guy taking donations is rude as hell. Then the other person that works there didn't let in the store because I had a review he saw. Act like it's their personal store and done want anyone to have any recourse. I had a whole van full of donations and they insisted I didn't. Like how would they know that ? So just because I put a bad review I can't come in. Cheap shot.

Staff tried their best, but very unprofessional and unable to understand simple concepts. For example, a “thrift store” ,that gets the stuff they sell for FREE from donations, shouldn’tt be priced above the price they are sold brand new at the store.

When I brought it up to them and showed them the price at other stores, the response was, “then why don’t you go to the store and get it?”. IM AT THE STORE! The alleged “thrift store”.

Also, they’re selling a digital alarm clock from the 80’s for $19.99. I found a slew of the same ones on eBay for the same price with free shipping.

What has goodwill turned into? I understand the cost of doing business, but we shouldn’t have to pay, at, or above the price in a regular store at GOODWILL!

P..S. I am poor and this is why I’m sad 😢

the staff was totally fine, maybe they changed? But the problem of prices seems to have occurred across all of the stores. $25 for worn out shoes. I thought this store felt less abandoned and more neat than the one in West Berkeley. It’s likely just chance. For the most part though, you might as treat yourself to Daiso for quality new Japanese goods at a cheaper price.
