Rhythmix Cultural Works is awesome. I go here on Tuesday evenings to do cuban salsa with Alvaro. He is probably my favorite teacher in the Bay area. He will get out prepared for a rueda or for social dancing. Come check it out on Tuesday nights

Whether I’m marveling in the daytime at one of their school events (I.e: Dia de Los Muertos dance performance celebrations culture and preserving history. 250 elementary students from one of the local title 5 schools.) or closing my eyes and grooving to a toe-tapping, head-bobbing and gentle-humming jazz concert… or just formulating run-on sentences for a Places review, THIS place has it going on. ALL of it.

Went there for a recital show. Great space, lots of room. Great lighting setup. Good sound for the various instruments. And the downstairs was great space for workshops or classes.

Accommodations for adults and children.

Did not seem too easily accessible via public transportation due to construction however should be once completed.

Comfortable venue. I was in the 3rd row and had a good view of the stage. I was so happy that they served refreshments and let me bring them to my seat.

I love Rhythmix cultural Works. It’s my go to for Zumba and Barre classes as well as amazing multicultural evening entertainment. Their free outdoor performances in interesting locales throughout Alameda marry history, story telling, dance and art that I bring my whole family to. Support them, they make Alameda a great place to live!

I have found Rhythmix Cultual Works to be a warm, friendly, and intimate venue to see any kind of show that lends itself to this kind of space. Every seat is a good seat, It feels as if you are getting a personal show but with the added benefit of sharing it with other members of the audience. In addition, the people running Rhythmix are really nice people and it makes me feel good supporting them, and supporting places like this that also serve their community.

We loved seeing Josh Kornbluth's show in this friendly and warm space. The only improvement I would suggest would be to place the folding chair seating so the narrow chairs have some inches of space between them.
