I love Jake Stillman. He is more than a producer, he is a mentor who can coax great performances out of whoever he is working with. He knows tons about engineering and also has played in bands for years and has a superb ear. I enjoy working with him immensely and I'm always proud of the end product.

Coming from NYC, the hub of the recording industry, I can honestly say that finding Jake Stillman (at Stillman Sound in Petaluma) was like finding a hidden gem. He is a jack of all trades and a master of many. From tracking to mixing, from mastering to music business knowledge, he is truly at the top of his game!

At one point, I've worked at just about ever major recording studio in NY and LA, as well as with several top mastering engineers, and Jake is easily as good as all of them! His Mastering is TOP NOTCH! I don’t think it gets better in the Bay Area.

Jake is any songwriter’s best friend. Not only does he know HOW to capture the sounds you’re after, his musical knowledge and proficiency are tools at your disposal, affording you the ability to make the best song possible. I have become a better songwriter, producer, and even person thanks to Jake Stillman. Not sure how anyone makes a record without him.

Ive been recording an album with Jake for a while now, and hes just pleasant to work with. Very helpful and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend him for anyone's next album. He does live sound too! awesome little company for any musician to get to know.

Jake was super professional and timely in he responses. also, was helpful in orienting me towards the mixing process to best suit the outcome of the tracks in the end product. The songs came back sounding amazing, touched up so well 🙂 definitely recommend going with Stillman Sound!!! thank you!
