I love this venue for both daytime and night, from symphony to punk!
A beautiful spot on the bay, nice acoustics, non-crowded seating. I really like the table seating near the front, but not too close because at a certain point (for the rock shows), the people will get up and crowd the stage.
Parking is a bit of a challenge. Plan on a good walk.

During the summer, enjoy free open rehearsals if the San Diego Symphony! ? Oh, but there's no shade during the day.

It's a truly stunning venue. The aesthetic is both unique and captivating. They host a variety of events, from classical music concerts to performances by contemporary artists. Whether you're interested in yoga or celebrating American holidays, this place has something for everyone. Most events require a ticket, so be sure to plan ahead. And if you're planning to attend, dress warmly as the venue can get chilly, especially with the wind coming in from the bay.

It's a beautiful venue with lots of open space to stand and sit. It's right next to the bay and very breezy. I attended two concerts, and the sound quality is perfect. The Shell lights up in correspondence to the music. There's two side screens that zoom in on what's happening on the stage. There's water stations to refill water bottles and plenty of restrooms below the main venue.

Love the Rady Shell. Anytime I visit I am so amazed by the performances and venue. Its lovely being an open air venue and the views of the bay are so pretty. In terms of acoustics and lighting it is great. There is a good selection (soups, coffee, ice cream, poke, sushi, burgers, salads, etc.) of food available as well. Bathrooms are in the lower level and are always clean. I love too that on special series they can also include fireworks. Makes for a wonderful night out.

A beautiful venue. With San Diego’s beautiful weather it is good environment for a concert. With the navy ships going by and other sailboats it just makes it a nice experience. When we were here, the sun was going down. We had a beautiful sunset as well. it only gets a two because there’s no chairs and you can’t see. If you want to sit on the ground, this is your place.

Beautiful views and sound even in the cheap lawn section. There was plenty of room and we didn't feel crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price for parking in the convention garage was absolutely insane. I'd look into taking the trolley if a concert doesn't get out too late. Can't wait to go again.

Phenomenal Venue!! I recommend
bringing a wind jacket as it can get cool in the evening. Some events are GA lawn seating so double check. You will need a lawn chair or blanket or be sitting on grass.
The staff here is always super friendly. I don’t believe they take tips for drinks here. I do think you can bring your own wine for a corking fee
Sound quality was amazing for Norah Jones!!!

My companies conference closing night entertainment was Lionel Richie at the Rady Shell. This was my first time seeing a concert at this venue. I have seen other concerts at this location before the Rady Shell was built. What an amazing experience!! The sound was incredible. The venue itself offered great locations for food and drink. You can’t get any better than having a beautiful back drop of the San Diego skyline and Coronado island.
