Super friendly! Great views and staff. Love the meadow horseback ride! I try to do it as often as I can. The relief reservoir ride I did 24 years ago I'd recommend for a more intermediate rider due to the jumping of creek bed boulder steps.

We stayed at Deadman campground and loved it - it's very beautiful and at $25 a night it's very reasonable. The store is, not surprisingly, quite expensive but it had all the necessities. The hikes are all hot, dry, dusty and full of stones - not our favorite kind.

What some people might call a Night Club at Kennedy Meadows, other would call an old log cabin with a bar. However, for some people this is unfortunately the primary attraction in a very beautiful High Sierra retreat. To each their own but I really wish more people would put aside the alcohol get enjoy hiking and fishing.

It's worth the short drive up the hill. Be prepared with all the supplies you need and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you!
