Such a pleasant experience! My friend and I drove past on NYE and walked around on January 1st. My only wish is that the Gingerbread House dessert shop would stay open until the new year! So bummed I couldn’t try one of the yummy treats. Beautiful lights around the entire Mission Inn grounds, such a sight to see!

It's great to visit and walk around to view the lights, very fun to do especially with family. Took lots of pictures for great memories. We visted on a weekday, wasn't crowded and found parking quickly.

There are also some fun local shops to check out and eateries as well.

Fun for the family with lots of beautiful things to see. There are music performers and venders including ice skating. Be prepared to search strategically for parking or pay a lot.

Highly overrated. There are a lot of lights which is okay. But, there were only three porto-pottys and it was extremely crowded. The only place we could find to park was the valet which was $50. Then, if you pay using a card, they charge you a convenience fee.
Overall, too crowded, lights were so so, not a good experience.

I have been wanting to go to this for the past two or three years, and we finally made it. I'm so very sorry that I dragged my family to this. I was very disappointed. We managed to find parking, but the whole atmosphere was more like a third world carnival. Weird, unpleasant smells everywhere, a live (and very loud) heavy-metal band on the steps of the church across the street, someone else playing drums on another street, someone else playing a tuba, people selling lit-up balloons... no Christmas music or carols. Somehow, all of it seemed so very bizaar and out of place for CHRISTmas. The hotel itself is very beautiful, but I would never want to go back. Just not anything close to the holiday vibe I was going for.
