Horrible festival Period. They call this the Garlic festival and yet there was hardly any unique garlic themed foods to be found. They also downsized to about 1/3 the size and most of the vendors there aren't even related to garlic. I get it is fair food and I'm paying fair food prices but the food wasn't even good and pricing even more bleak.
I had gone to the original in Gilroy the day before the tragedy occurred and there was 2-3x more gourmet food vendors and the huge main area which hosted 4-5 different gourmet garlic themed options that were actually good and had multiple lines.

Honestly this should be named Los Banos Fair. The best thing there is the free sample of garlic ice cream.

Two garlic attractions in the whole festival. Ice cream, and garlic alley. All told there were 5 options of unique garlic foods. There were no experiences like the other fairs held at these grounds. The vendors present were generally not very diverse. Mostly the same food vendors you see at the state fair but less of the local ones.

Pretty terrible experience at the Los Banos Garlic Festival. Everything was very disorganized. Wait forever in one line to buy a ticket and then you're told to go to the back of another super-long line to get in. Rather than a total immersion in all things garlic, you get the feeling you are at a county fair with just a few garlic foods. Beware the "Michelada booth" because you will pay eight dollars for some clamato and then you have to go somewhere else to buy a beer to mix with it! Gilroy needs to make a comeback!

This year's Garlic Festival was disappointing, featuring a minimal number of garlic vendors. The repeated explanation that it was their inaugural event in Los Banos became tiresome. The location is irrelevant; a true Garlic Festival should meet certain expectations. It is widely understood what such a festival should offer, so the shortcomings were perplexing. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly The Moonshine Bandits. Should the festival be held again next year, it is imperative to appoint a new planning team and to commence preparations immediately.

I’m where was the garlic?! The most garlic they had was the sad souvenir stand and some random woman with a garlic hat. Was full of overpriced and glorified vendors. Some chicken place that had no garlic on the menu was charging $23 for 4 tenders.
We had drove 2 hrs for this event thinking it would be similar to the Gilroy event, but no it’s just the name garlic festival. SUCH A CASH GRAB WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK THIS EVENT ITS NOT WORTH IT!
