The Riverside Lunar Festival was a lovely local event. However, it seemed in the marketing material to be much larger than it actually was. There are a number of local vendors and food trucks that were from the Asian community. However, an equal or larger number of businesses appeared to be from the Hispanic communities. It was a fun event for an hour or so. It as geared for local residents with younger children.

This year Riverside did an AMAZING job with the 2024 Lunar Festival. It’s going on Saturday and Sunday from 11-8pm. The food was super delicious, I got the New England clam chowder and I also tried the matcha lemonade from another vendor. I would just recommend to make sure you’re wearing sunscreen and bring a hat because that moon heat was hot. The Sholin school did an awesome job displaying their Kung fu skills, and the dancers were graceful and show cased a great performance. There was a an arrangement of vendors offering everything from cultural trinkets to anime memorabilia. Since the event is free make sure to bring your credit cards since half the vendors take debit or credit cards for payment. Hope you have a great time and enjoy a day of festive activities.
