I moved away from the area so many years ago. Now, coming back to visit relatives, I'm seeing all the new developments, houses, businesses, and the many wineries I never knew were here. It is absolutely a beautiful area, and Thornton Winery is one of the oldest. They have a restaurant with REALLY GOOD FOOD!!! And their wine selections are outstanding!!! I will definitely be coming back!!!!

Staff was professional, but unfortunately this Winery has priced itself out of the market. It was 3/4 empty, while other wineries were full! Prices just too high, for wine, bubbly and the restaurant. $27 for small tasting of 4 sparkling wines. They were nothing special! I hadn't been to Thornton in years, but I can't recommend it. 😕

Enjoyed the show and the ambience. Two of Jazz's greatest trumpeter and saxophonist gave us one of this years best shows. Capturing the night's tropical breeze under the stars was the start of an evening of sophication. Our only complaint was the seating. The seats were zipped-tied together that didn't allow elbow room. It was very uncomfortable sitting flush against the person sitting next to me. This will not stop me from attending another event at Thornton.

Recently saw the Average White Band in concert. As usual, the show was great, and because the venue is small and intimate, the sound quality is always great. My one complaint would be a lack of options and diversity on the gourmet supper packages. I suggest offering at least 2 protein options for those of us who don't like salmon. At $220 per ticket, I think you can offer a chicken option. I have been attending shows there since 1996, and I really enjoy the Champaign Jazz Concert Series.

Concerts at Thorton summer jazz are very good, seating is to close together though, concession sales, sandwiches and wines are Very Expensive, we only go twice a year if that .

Great venue. They do need to come up with a way to provide shade when you are in line for GA and you are standing in the HOT sun for an hour. It was brutal. Great sound, nice intimate setting though once you get inside 😉
