Very grateful for my partner and I’s experience here with Darek. We are new to the wine world so going to a tasting can feel a bit intimidating but the culture at Old World Winery is warm and inviting. It was a safe space to ask questions, understand the natural wine world, pick Darek’s brain haha and explore your taste buds. The wine is Phenomenal! Each wine we tried had us hooked. I highly recommend supporting and coming by the vineyard for a nice and enjoyable experience! We will cherish our time here.

I was brought here by watching the documentary called Living Wine. Highly recommend that film if you like wine.

Old World makes natural wine and the process they use is so awesome. The passion for sustainability and for preserving the art of making wine is in everything they do. Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines we tasted and we literally went back again to get more bottles. Please take the time to go here, Darek and his team are wonderful!!!

I had the most extraordinary afternoon spent amongst the vines. This winery is the real deal. Make a point to schedule a tasting for yourself.

We had a superb experience at Old World Winery. Darek is an extremely talented winemaker and his passion and knowledge seep through into the complex flavors and styles of wine he makes. Likely the best and most interesting natural wines I’ve ever tried, anywhere. If you haven’t been yet, you definitely need to check it out. We’re so glad he was able to accommodate us for the tasting and we got to have such a wonderful experience.

The owners were gracious enough to grant me a tasting on a day they were technically closed. I really appreciate that their tasting fee is the best in the area ($15) and it is waived with a bottle purchase. The tasting Is also very generous with 7 it more wines. Although I only wound up purchasing 2 bottles of the same type, we really enjoyed our visit and especially feeding the chickens and learning about the grapes and local area.

This is wine in purist sense of the word. These are the wines that the person you just bought that $100 overly manipulated Cabernet is drinking. Old World is making wine the way it should taste, with nothing added and nothing taken away (my guess is they do sulfur on bottling to ensure the wine can be somewhat stable).

There is beauty in the variance and the volatility; you should be able to tell the difference between vintages. Robert Parker would probably find many "faults" in this wine and that's a good thing because he sucks and his torched palette has set winemaking back a generation.

What the folks at Old World are doing is beautiful -- wine making is beautiful when done in conjunction with the land. They are not manipulating but rather guiding the grapes through the process of becoming wine.

I have spoken with Darek and he is passionate about his craft and understands that as natural winemaker (I assume he hates that term but it's what I am using) he is advocating for a movement towards a more pure juice, a better juice. I signed up on the spot to be a member because we, as a wine consuming community, need to reward the people who treat winemaking as an art instead of a science project.

Don't show up and expect cave tours, art sales, or overpriced tapas. Show up and see what a working farm looks like and how a family is connected to their land.

Last thing, I am a huge fanboy of funky grape varietals or field blends that just throw everything under the sun into the vat. Old World does all of that and more. Do yourself a favor and go ASAP.

Some of the best natural wine I’ve had, with a small but strong team putting a lot of care into each bottle. Well worth a visit.
