The past 6 months have been very enriching at A Dawn of Music. I moved from the Midwest to San Diego, and learning how to play bass guitar with Jorge helped ease the transition. I'm so grateful for finding this studio and creative outlet. Every week we work on refining and learning a new song; I love that we have similar taste in music too. Jorge's skill, encouragement, patience, and insight has made this experience really great. He fluidly assists my learning style and is always innovative with teaching. Whenever I mention a song to learn, he is able to humbly play it on bass, guitar, and piano while translating tabs. I'm also impressed with James - from the first phone call, he excitedly prepared my schedule and consistently communicates. I didn't have to rely on the internet to find my instrument, James spent time sharing his professional knowledge with me. I thought I would feel delayed with learning in my early 30's, but it's never too late to start. I look forward to continuing this journey because of A Dawn of Music, thank you for everything!

I’ve been taking guitar and vocal lessons with Miss Elizabeth for about 6 months now. She is truly a teacher!! The online learning route is great I’m sure but learning in person has been amazing with her. She pays attention to what I’m doing and then from there picks up how to teach me in a way that I can understand and process. I’ve progressed a lot under her and am looking forward to continue my learning. She as a teacher continues to learn new skills for herself and her growth definitely translates into mine as well. James is the best with managing the schedules and the studio. He does everything he can to make things works and his efforts are so appreciated. This studio has been the best experience I could ask for! Thank you guys!

I had been taking classes with Miss Elisabeth for about 3 years now and I’ve grown so much musically! I started off with voice lessons and then added in some ukulele and piano. I was a little slow at picking stuff up, but Miss Elisabeth was so patient. James, one of the studio owners is amazing and passionate about music as well! I absolutely love the recitals too!

The staff at ADOMS are amazing and incredible! Not to mention, James is an awesome director! They are very flexible when needing to change your scheduled lessons around and are always willing to assist you with any questions or concerns you have/need. In regards to the lessons being taught, I’ve only done vocal and save seen major progress. They genuinely care for you to grow as an aspiring artist. I highly recommend this studio!

I have been taking piano lessons with Alex for almost 3 years. Cannot say enough about what a great teacher he is. I found a few jazz/funk songs online that I wanted to play and thought it would take years to learn as I never had any musical experience. Within 6 months, I was playing one of them and got exposure to a load of other material including improv, sight reading and more. He is extremely knowledgable and is able to help bridge the gap between your current experience level and where you want to get to and then some. Highly recommend him and ADOMS! You won't be disappointed!

Our daughter has been coming here for voice lessons for only about 2 months and has already grown SO much. Ms. Shannon has been amazing with her. Ms. Elizabeth has subbed in a couple of times and I've been blown away by her too. We're beyond happy with this place.

I started taking lessons this year. Violin lessons. My violin teacher is wonderful! The school is great! I would recommend this school to anyone who is serious about their music! I am an adult student who loves it!
