I really enjoyed the 4-week classes with Michael. I consider it a great foundation/intro to voiceover work. Creatively it covers commercial, narration and character work. From the business side, it goes over marketing, equipment, getting started with submitting yourself for work, to find an agent, demos - and I'm maybe leaving something out! Michael encourages, and leaves time for questions. (He stayed late every class).

I liked that the classes were small and in person/ not zoom. There was plenty of time to work in the recording booth in every class and Michael offered great notes and direction on performance. Definitely encourage you to check out his website if you're interested in getting started with VO.

I recently took Michael’s class based on reviews for the month of April, because of aspirations to become a voiceover actor full time. Well here’s another good review: Michael is a great coach and puts you at ease. He’s informative, and along with the exercises in class, plus booth time, by the end you’ll have gained knowledge and confidence like I have in pursuing a career in VO.

If you're looking to break into voice over, Michael Raffety is the way to go. Not only does he give practical and useful information from his years of experience, he also lets you record in studio and helps you find your voice in class. He dedicates each class to a specific medium for voice over, from commercials and narration to audio books and animation. Each one was extremely interesting to learn and Michael made each class fun and engaging. On top of that he's got a great deal for recording your own VO reel and is an expert editor. I was beyond happy with my final Voice Over reel and I can't recommend him enough.

Michael is such an amazing VO instructor and director! His classes are amazing: they're full of information that he prints out for you to keep, he's incredibly enthusiastic and kind, and he makes classes enjoyable for all. He's very accommodating and even takes extra time after class to answer any questions you have.

I also ended up paying for his demo lite service. He helps make/find scripts with you that are to your liking and does a great job at giving direction when you're in his recording booth.

All in all, highly recommend him and his services!

I just completed my voice over reel with Michael; this was something that I had been wanting to do for the last 2 years. When I was shopping around for locations to get it done Michael was the first and only person to respond back to my inquiry. He made the process so easy and so much fun. He is professional and he really knows what he's doing. I just got the completed piece back and I love it! In a million years I never thought I could sound so good but Michael did that for me. I would recommend him to anyone looking to complete a reel or even if you needed a space to complete an audition, he is full of helpful tips that can help with that as well.
