Would recommend AMAX Talent as the agency to submit to in Nashville, TN. I moved from out of State a couple years ago and when moving I wasn't sure what the modeling scene would be like. Decided to ask fellow models and their friends for suggestions. I was pointed to AMAX as the agency to talk to. Sure glad I did! Has been about two years now, they have gotten me some great jobs and seem to really care about their talent. Appreciate how hard this team of people work!

AMAX has been one of the best agencies I've been represented by in my career. Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They go over and beyond the norm to make sure that I'm represented in the perfect light and that I have all the information needed for any shoot.

I was represented by AMAX for over 5 years. During my time with them I never got work besides an occasional Memphis fashion show tryout. I spent more money for shoots to get nothing in return. I never received the services that the other girls were given with representation or guidance.

When I signed at 17, my mother and I were so excited to see where this venture would lead me. I thought I was going to be able to model with development but was told my measurements were not there, but yet they have plus size models even in development (I was and am a size 4). I tried to lose as much weight as possible getting down to 130 pounds (I'm 5'11) to make myself stand out, but still, I was never informed about work for 3 years.

Once they had a new Memphis agent come on board in 2019, I thought it was going to be different but it was still all the same. I contacted her to make sure I was getting booked but she said that she submits what she sees. Nothing for another couple of years. It wasn't until yesterday that I finally decided to cancel my contract. Which they did quickly this morning. I was saddened because I kept up with AMAX for over a year before signing. I was a teen girl wanting to be apart of this crazy, cool world of modeling, but as time has gone on it seems to not be the case.

My advice to you and AMAX would be if you live in Memphis to stay away, unless you are a model that has the runway "look." I firmly believe that AMAX should close the doors on their Memphis office, because it seems that the work is just not there. Some of the Memphis talent would even tell me that they too never received work and even found the Memphis agent at the time talking rudely about the models on Snapchat. I firmly believe that I was just put on the roster because I am biracial (that's what the first agent basically told me when I signed. She wanted a girl that wasn't blonde or white).

I would definitely steer clear from them. It seems to me that they have a bit of an elitist attitude when it comes to submitting certain people for work. You can tell on social media who are their favorites and who are not. You definitely need have an upper class background to work with them because it is going to cost you more at the start with travel and photo shoots than actually getting paid.
