This festival was incredibly disappointing. The fact that there was an admission fee was insulting. It was small with limited activities and vendors compared to similar fruit/vegetable-themed summer festivals in the region. We will not be going back.

Food, wine tasting, live music, chef demos, comedy shows, fresh produce, the usual assortment of farmers market/county fair vendors, and did I mention food!?!

You'll have fun, just go.

Not impressed. $20 parking, $20 entrance fee, $12 warm beers, one stand with fried artichokes and they were not good. Most booths were cheap jewelry. Planned on eating our fill at the festival. Didn't happen. Stopped at a restaurant on the way home and got dinner. The annual festival used to be help in Castroville and was fun and lots of food vendors. Now that Monterey Fairgrounds hosts it, it's a bust. Not going again until it returns to Castroville.

Yummy artichokes, wine tasting, booths to shop, comedy show was great. The commentator Alex was not great, too drunk, music too loud at comedy, and he let the ladies cheat at the artichoke harvesting competition. Many people were annoyed with him at the comedy show, even the comedians.

One area(3 windows) that served Artichokes. Steamed, French Fries w/Artichoke and Fried Artichokes w/Ranch That was all the Artichoke they had. The rest were vendor booths selling t-shirts, jerky etc. What a joke. I was so disappointed. Drove from Sacramento area for a hour of walking around. We left and ate in Avalon. I really thought they would have more Artichoke tastings. $20.00 a ticket. Rip off
