One of my favorite places for concerts. The sound is great, the prices are fair, there is free parking, and wine and drinks are affordable (unlike another theater we go to in Central Florida).
Also it is very close to stores and bars and restaurants so if you go early you can walk around this nice little town for enjoyment.

We have gone there for several concerts and one of them that we like a lot is the Liverpool Legends who are a great Beatles tribute band that don't miss a note while truly paying tribute to the Beatles.
This venue is highly recommended!

Even though I didn’t know anyone, everyone felt like family. Extremely nice staff, very kind people. The theater is really cute and well kept. The audio was impressive. Went to see Dracula - great and passionate actors. I just wish it wasn’t too long.
I will be back! Thank you for keeping arts real and alive in this virtual world

We brought our Team of Chauffeurs to this show as part of our Christmas party. It was so awesome. We all enjoyed the show very much.

The snow effect after show ended outside was Soooo Amazing and a Special Touch. This theater is Wonderful and the Actors did an Outstanding Job!!!

The fog machine used in the show did set off the fire alarm and we needed to exit the building. The Staff did an Amazing job getting everyone outside safely and we waited for the fire dept to come shut off the fire alarm. It was a brief hiccup and the Man who was the main speaker was Extremely apologetic and the Show continued. NOT A BIG DEAL AT ALL.

I also had a change in number of tickets we purchased and they were so gracious to allow a credit on file for the 2 tickets we couldn't use.

Not only that but I mistakenly gave up 2 tickets that 1 of them was an isle seat which I needed.

The lady who I spoke to went above and beyond for me and was able to give those seats back to me. Very much appreciated.❤️🥰🥰. We will certainly return 🙏

Great local theatre productions. The classic old-school beautiful theatre provides an excellent atmosphere for regional theatre. Please support the arts!

Our first time at the Athens Theater and we were so pleased with this historic gem! I was so impressed with the venue and the friendly people that work there. The Fleetwood Mac Experience was out of this world amazing! Super talented musicians who know how to connect with the audience. What an extremely enjoyable evening listening to a wonderful group of musicians. My hubby and I had a blast! Will definitely be back for sure!

I cannot say enough good about this place. We have been season ticket holders for 4 years now. Not one performance has ever been less than wonderful. Just last night we went to the opening night of “The Full Monty”. EPICALLY HILARIOUS!!!! You can tell everyone who is involved with each production loves what they do. The sets are amazing and creative, the music and singing is top level, and if you haven’t been yet you are sorely missing out. I highly recommend being a season ticket holder and going to all their shows!!!!

This is such a piece of history, I wish it got more publicity on its significance to Florida's growth. Built in the 1920's and struggled through thru the depression and into WW II. It was part of Henry DeLand's vision to make Persimmon Hollow ( Deland's original name)
a cultural and educational center in Florida. After a 12 million dollar restoration, it's a unique opportunity to be transported into the past.

What nice theatre, every seat is good, we went and saw "Fleetwood Gold" - superb performance!! I "do vaguely remember"😀 seeing the original group back in the 60-70s and Gold was right on with the music! The Athens was their very first gig, and now a return performance! And then to top it off, they go out front and meet the patrons... high class in my book!!
