Audio Mechanics and John Polito are hands-down the best in the world at audio restoration, and also everybody there couldn't be nicer or more talented people. I've been working with John since 2003 on pretty much all the audio restoration and mastering I've done (hundreds of projects), and he's one of my favorite people to work with. The entire film archiving community will also totally agree with me -- he's the best, and delivers amazing results.

I had the pleasure of doing business with this facility last spring/summer to preserve indispensable magnetic audio recordings that were several decades old (as well as visibly warped), and I simply could not be more satisfied with the results. The service fees were reasonable and the sound quality exceeded my expectations. Low noise floor, no wow and flutter— and this was before any kind of restorative work had been applied. Put simply, these guys know what they’re doing. I’m so glad they’re around, and I can’t wait to do business with them again. Stay awesome, Mechanics.

Had very bad experience with owner. Very aggressive and not friendly person. He has major obsession with his parking spot. I don't think he is normal. My recommendation is stay away from this business.
Busy business owner will not spend his time dealing with parking spot when there is lot more vacant spots. He blocked my car with his car, and call police to give me a citation for couple of minutes parking on his spot.
Our business is near and we are neighbors, and we see lot of unsatisfied people from their actions. They are not doing business, there they are just stand out of building and waiting when someone will park on their spot to act like a OCD person.
How come this business can be good if owner always available to fight for parking?
If John has 45 min to deal with parking problem it means no customers visiting them.
Sorry John but people has to know what to expect from you, if law requires execution for parking violation you will be first person who will ask execute everybody who even close to your business parking. As a person you are not a good one, you are angry and not smart, you claimed as a good citizen but you forget to be a human and lost your mind when you had small chance to control situation by harming your neighbor.
People be careful from this business not sure if it is a good spot to deal with them!
