I visited Big Springs to view the annual Tinsel Trail trees. It's a nice park with a lake and a stream surrounded by wide sidewalks, plus a variety of ducks and koi. Very inviting.

This was such a cool place and absolutely beautiful. I want to come back sometime when there is not an event going on. The NASA in the park was happening and I didn’t know about it. It was pretty crowded. Despite so many people the area was very clean. The ponds were so pretty. There are lots of food and hotel options nearby too.

My pup, Hazel and I enjoy our daily walks here at different times of the day (usually, when the temperature outside is cooler). Lots of fish and ducks! Some fish are bigger than my dog! They have bird/fish food dispensers ($0.25 for a handful).
They do not provide poop bags for your dogs.

We love this park! It’s perfect for a stroll, picnic, or any other activity. Feeding the birds and fish is definitely a plus that keeps kids engaged. They hold so many events throughout the year that just keep up coming back. It’s maintained very clean and we definitely appreciate it! Here are pictures of just a regular day and their Water Lantern Festival

A nicely maintained gem in the city … clean, safe sidewalks; sturdy benches, plenty of areas for spreading a blanket on the lawn. Sculptures, artwork, and of course lots of ducks, fish, pigeons, geese and other birds for nature watching. Feed is available for purchase (bring quarters) but you don’t get much for the price. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and enjoyed walking down to the park. As always, stay aware of your surroundings.
