Neat event... a lot of vendors selling crafts. There were lectures on various topics throughout the day including one on the festivals namesake. The bus tour to the owl nesting sites was $5. We were on a later tour so the owls were mostly in their burrows. One came out to see what ask of the fuss was about. He hung out for a photo op so we could get pics. Tour guide was knowledgeable. Definitely a good day for about $10 ($5 donation for entry, $5 for the bus).

I’m giving this one star IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD, first the parking lot is incredibly small and there’s way too little parking for this. It’s also $5 not free, they say the $5 is a donation but you’re not getting in without paying. Nothing to do with burrowing owls period? There was food and music, but no educational events/activities on owls, no arts and crafts as advertised, you essentially paid to go to a public park. The bus tours were sold out and on a school bus and I was told “try again next year” just a big no thanks! I guess this is more for tourist, or people who enjoy paying for parks?

Is a great idea to go out of the house. You will see a lot of different animals. Have fun we will be back next year

All owls, all the time. Plus I've seen alligators, tame raccoon, owls, and butterflies, the sun telescope, and conservation info.
