I don’t even know where to start… We had an absolute blast! The wines are to die for! So much attention to detail - the interior, the decor, the wines - from the superb taste to the witty labels. The staff was well trained and made our stay as pleasant as we could have wishes for. What a wonderful escape and such a gem. 🥰🥰🥰

No empathy or compassion. We had been driving for about five hours when we decided to stop in Los Alamos at about 1;45 pm on a Monday for a snack. We were looking for Bob’s Bakery but our friend got confused and we ended up at Clementine Carter in error. Once we figured out where we really wanted to be, I politely asked if it would be ok if I used the bathroom since it had been five hours and was a bit of an urgency. She said only if I bought something. I seriously couldn’t even think straight enough to even respond. There was one table occupied.. We went down the street to Bob’s where I was able to go straight into the bathroom with no questions. Clementine Carter could stand to show people a little compassion.

The wine here is fantastic. Many different types of wine to choose from to enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere without the wine snobbery. If someone in your party isn’t a fan of wine there is plenty of microbrews next door. My wife and I have been a few different times and have been impressed with how friendly the owner is and her staff. The wine, their attitude and the tacos will keep us coming back.

Don’t skip this stop in Los Alamos. Not only is the wine fabulous and approachable- but the owner makes this place one of a kind. Sonja is so kind and engaging. You always get an extra pour and a taste of something new. We wandered in in 2020 and have been members ever since.

Clementine was highly recommended by a trusted wine pourer and unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The wines were overpriced and the tasting menu, ostentatious and dramatized. Our server only poured a few of the wines listed and when I asked to try the others listed, he was rude and dismissive. I can think of many other things I’d want to spend $40 on - clementine tasting- definitely NOT!!

From the vineyard to the glass, winemaking is a craft that requiring exacting detail. I was truly impressed by the wines and their pure expressiveness. The Grenache and Mourvedre were so delicious as was the Roussanne. And by the way, I was not a fan of Roussanne until my tasting with Sonja. Her iteration was bright and vibrant, and had me eating crow after the first sip. I regret not buying a bottle. All in all, wow, the wines were good! And Sonja is quite the host.
