The smell of Old Bay Seasoning was in the air! There was plenty of delicious food options, desserts, drinks, music, and lots of rides and entertainment for the kids. Everyone had a good time. Itโ€™s almost here, May 19th, 2023.

Good crawfish, live band and freshly made fruit drinks with tequila. They also had alligator bites and frog legs.

We had a great time at the Crawfish festival in 2022 and are excited to attend again this year! Some of the highlights for my family include the live band karaoke, the different live musical acts, free games, and wheels to spin throughout the festival. The kids loved the carnival rides! The crowd was great, especially on the dance floor. It's not cheap but about what you would expect to spend at a county fair. The crawfish was amazing, too! Well worth checking out.

For a small fee, (bring cash because no credits cards taken) you can enter the grounds and get charged to do everything inside minus listen to the live music. The main
attraction is the huge crawfish buckets. The small bucket holds more crawfish than I could ever eat. (Picture #1) The bucket also contains corn cobs, potatoes and lemon
wedges. Everything is dusted in a spicy creole seasoning. Fairly hot If you insist on trying, buy a beverage because it's all super dry. The crawfish is steam cooked or boiled
by the thousands in huge vats (picture #2) Not too much culinary skill involved or flavor. Seating is packed and if you don't arrive within an hour of opening you'll be fighting for an available spot. Inside the festival there are also food trucks. Your typical Cajun style and fairground type food. There is a section
with carnival rides and games that are over priced. IMO Lots of people but not many exciting things -yet if you love Creole style crawfish this may be the place for you.

Wow, this is the first time I had alligator, and it is superb! I arrived at the starting time, and there was already a long line! However, check in was quick and the line moved smoothly. I bought my tickets in advance, so I was the among the first few to get my crawfish and find a shaded seat. The crawfish itself was simply boiled and had some basic seasoning, but they had a good sauce that goes with it. There were food, crafts, rides, games, and great music and dancing. I spent a wonderful afternoon here.

Iโ€™ve been wanting to attend this function for about 20 years. We needed to get away and saw tickets for the festival. We spent $40 for 2 people, parked at the first event parking field. Another $20. No signage that you have to walk at least a mile to the festival. There was all kinds of free parking in town right next to the festival. I am disabled and had a hard time walking so far. We get to the gate and hardly anyone bought tickets. They just walked in. We went for crawfish but the line averaged 4 hours in the sun. No hay bales or benches. $7.50 for a flat, warmish modeling. No guide or map. Weโ€™re happy to help Isleton survive but come on! We spent a couple hundred dollars and left hungry where. The people were awesome and very peaceful. The staff worked hard.

Although parking is free, bring lots of cash, the crawfish aren't cheap: $40 for 2 pounds of whole boiled crawfish, and that's on top of the entrance ticket price. But the worst part is the long line you must wait in to get your bucket of crawfish. The coffee at the beignet stand does not come with chicory; if you are expecting beignets and coffee with chicory like you get at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, you will be disappointed. And the beignet stand has a long line too, although not as long as the ridiculous line for the crawfish. I gave up trying to get food and headed to the band stage. The zydeco band at the band stage was good, and the dance floor had lots of fun folks dressed up in Mardi Gras costumes.
