Amazing park. Great parking. Clean bathrooms. I appreciated the fenced in toddler area. The design of this playground and picnic areas were very detailed and thoughtful for the children. Lots of sand areas. Many interactive components. Smaller benches for little kids to sit on safely. Super original playground. I'll be visiting again with my kids, they loved it here.

Take Flight at the Jet Plane Playground: Budding pilots will love soaring through the clouds on the iconic jet plane structure. Complete with wings, cockpit, and slide, this playground ignites imaginations and inspires dreams of taking to the skies.

A Place to Honor Heroes: Del Valle Park also holds a special place for remembering our fallen soldiers. The Veterans Memorial Wall serves as a poignant tribute to those who served our country, offering a space for quiet reflection and gratitude.

Finally, May our next generation grow up in a peaceful environment. May our soldiers receive the highest honors.

This park is great for kids to get their wiggles out! They have so many neat things to climb! The choices are endless. My son is 4 and had no problem getting around, although the recommended age for this playground is 5-12. This is our second time here and he is having a blast. Lots of parking is available and the bathrooms are located right next to the play area. Lots of squirrels to observe and a great place to bring the dogs for a walk. 10/10 best park I have ever been too!

I take my grandchild there all the time it's within walking distance for us. During the summer, they have a wading pool for the small kids, and the play for them is separate from the older kids. For the fall, a halloween event. The park offers a lot for the community for all ages.

Beautiful park to walk, ride, sit, jog, lay in the grass and be lazy and learn a little history while you're at it. The Vietnam War Memorial is something to see and worth the trip.

Great park. Play basketball here a lot. My father is/was an Airforce veteran. His name is here with many others who served for our country.

The Boys of Del Valle Park

by Dennis Lander, Vietnam Veteran

We climbed aboard that huge winged rocket,
And rode it to the sky.
Our minds would soar for hours and hours,
We’re never gonna die.

With pitch and yaw, dives and rolls,
We’d blast bad guys to heaven.
We’d crash and burn and walk away,
Heck, we’re only seven.

But jets give way to bats and balls,
To hoop and football too.
“We’ve got great potential,” they’d say,
“The rest is up to you.”

How quick time travels from innocent days,
Of running in the sun.
‘Til the day your daddy tells you,
“It’s your duty son.”

“Be strong, be tough and be a man.”
I’d listen to them say.
“But wait a minute everyone,
I thought it was only play.”

And so it goes we’re back today,
With no mournful song to sing.
That same great jet above us now,
Shades us with its wings.

Together again but now we rest,
A brass plaque is our home.
But we’re not complaining, we’re quite
Content, to lie here all alone.

So moms and dads bring the kids on by,
And read a name or two.
Remember that these precious children
Sure think the world of you.

Tell them the truth about us,
Don’t shirk, don’t squirm, don’t lie,
And tell them that the toys boys
Play with,
Could someday make men die.

And think of us if not out loud,
But when it’s quiet and dark.
After all we’re your kids you know,
The Boys of Del Valle park.
