This is such a fun events, so many things to see, do and learn. Great for the entire family. It's nice and cool with grass and shade, with plenty of maker's guilds to visit, jousting, food vendors, art, comedy and more.

This event is anti-artist. They use stolen art (generative AI) to promote their event rather than working with real artists. This is unacceptable in a community populated almost entirely by working artists. When confronted, they lie and claim that the obviously AI outputs are hand-made art. They had the audacity to claim that a single image took “four weeks” to make then immediately blocked me when I pointed out that wasn’t possible. Don’t support organizations that harm working artists.

The Renaissance is about art and artists and this faire is showing themselves as a blatant cash grab by using AI art in their promotional materials and then LYING about it which is hilarious. Do better. Oh and if you call them out for it on FB they will block you.

Using AI art for Ren fest is really disgusting. Ren fair is supposed to be about community and supporting artists and acts. THIS IS NOT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM WHAT REN FESTS STAND FOR. Stop using AI art for promotions or anything. This takes away from so many talented people. There's so many other options than just being lazy and using AI. They even try lying about someone "volunteering" 4+ hours to "create this on adobe illustrator".

They’re blatantly lying by trying to claim an AI image used for an advertisement wasn’t AI, but was made by hand. They’ve since deleted all comments and limited interactions on Facebook because they don’t want to own up to the fact that they’re using AI imagery instead of paying actual artists.

Big L for a Ren faire to promote using ai generated ads when that's not in the spirit of ren faire at all. And then to deny it? Bro please be so for real. Ren is about artists. Pay the damn artist for art, stop generating it. Also blocking people on fb for pointing it out is a massive red flag🚩🚩🚩

Really disappointed, went this year. They should check and approve costumes at the gate, multiple grown men dressed in women’s lingerie! There’s children here, DISGUSTING!
