While visiting this location today I had a very bad experience. The receptionist "Vickie" was very rude and unprofessional towards me. I filed a complaint with "Betty" the supervisor and was assured that she would speak with "Vickie". I will also follow up with Dale if this problem persist.

The tax office was the busiest I've ever seen it, but there seemed to be more assistance at the counter.

This place has a HUGE spider problem! There are BLACK WIDOWS under all the cheap plastic chairs in the waiting area. There’s spiders in the corners. There’s spiders in holes in the walls. It’s bad. Gadsden county really needs to invest in some spider control because this building is NOT safe. On top of that, everyone who works here always seems very confused. They struggle to perform even basic tasks and will confidently give you wrong information just to get you to leave. Between the piss poor service and the spiders I would definitely recommend just making the drive to a different DMV instead.

I was unfortunate in that I had the one associate wait on me that was 100% incompetent. I watched her wait on others. She is rude, unprofessional and has no business working with the general public. She should be stocking shelves for Walmart where she can do no harm. I do plan to file suit against the Tax Commissioner for discriminating against a veteran. I was discharged in 1972 from the United States Marine Corps. I have had a Marine tag on my car ever since. I have lived in South Carolina, Georgia, New York. Pennsylvania, Texas and Colorado and never had a problem getting a Marine Corps tag. I had my Georgia Marine tag, my registration from Georgia, and my Georgia driver’s license all show my veteran status. Still no tag. She really seemed to enjoy putting me down and seemed to enjoy screwing over a vet. I will also be filing a complaint with the VA regarding the tax commissioner’s disregard for veterans needs. I don’t like to wish bad things for other people but I hope this young lady loses her job so she can’t screw over the people of Gadsden. I know I will not be voting for the incumbent tax commissioner. Would be nice to see them both replaced soon.

The rude idiotic women who work here told me as long as I was there by 4:30 I could pay the fees I owe, and then after traveling an hour from monticello to here and arriving at 4:15 they said that I was to late and they just kept pushing me off onto eachother because nobody wanted to deal with an upset customer who had been lied to. Fire who ever is answering the phones and get someone with basic education. I have never seen people this stupid, lazy, or rude anywhere I have ever gone. This place is full of ignorance and it's sad and pathetic, the entire office should be closed down or they need to clean house with all new staff who actually WANT to keep their jobs instead of people who don't care one way or the other

The lady at the desk was rude. I arrived as soon as the doors opened looking to update my license as i just moved from another state. She gave me a hard time stating that an appointment was required as they were short staffed. The office was EMPTY and there were 3 employees not assisting anyone. Still she asked for and checked ALL OF MY DOCUMENTS just to tell me that they were too busy and i would need to book an appointment weeks out and then come back. All the time she spent asking me about my availability could have been spent taking my photo. My husband had his license switched over the week prior and we were in and out within 15 minutes with no appointment!
