I have had Garth's class as well as Jan's two hour that lasts a month. Both of them are quite knowledgeable about craft. Garth is a perfectionist and knows exactly how he wants things done. Have the attitude he only wants the best from you and then it's natural to follow his demand. Ha. I have come a long way. Jan has a gentler direction and makes it more fun so their combination is a sure winner. Many helpful tips and comments about agencies and general market conditions. Have utmost respect for them. Can't wait to recharge in the fall. Highly recommended!!!!

Garth is the absolute worst Casting Director I've ever dealt with. (I'm coming from L.A. and N.Y. auditions.)

He seems to decide whether he likes you or not, the moment you set foot in the door. I must've intimidated him by simply being taller than he expected, because there was no excuse for his blatant insults and disrespect during my audition. Other reviews of this studio rave about him as "never dampening or discouraging his students." Does he just throw that personality out the window when he's running an audition room?

I won't be back, and hope that I was the exception to the rule. May no one else have to experience this side of him in the audition room.

Note to Garth: if you don't like an actor, or their performance...then just say "thank you" and move on with your day. There's never an excuse to take personal or "professional jabs" at someone who is nothing but kind and pleasant towards you.

Time to re-learn the word "professionalism."
