Cozy theatre on a street lined with eateries. The theatre looks its age in a good way showing history and a unique style. It is a good place to catch a performance.

This is a nice old theater. I didn't see a bad seat in the house. It's on the smaller side, for the older California theaters. It doesn't have the architecture of the the Crest or The Bob hope/ Fox but it is still nice.

Before you go to the venue, you should always take time to go to the old fisherman's wharf and put your feet in the water.

I know this is an old theater and I can appreciate the beauty of that, but the restrooms really need some TLC. I think the fixtures are original! Some the the sinks were broken. And the stalls were running out of toilet paper before the main act started.
But I think my main disappointment was the lack of communication between the workers/management. We received an email from the theater that we would be allowed entry at 6pm for our VIP experience. They would not let any of us VIPs in until 7pm - which was the same time they let general admission in!! So there was no benefit to getting the VIP tickets. When we finally did get let in and I went to find my seat, I was told by an employee (or maybe security guard?) that he did not think I was supposed to be in there yet! They need to get everyone on the same page and not send out false information in their emails!

A beautiful venue to see a show. Historical theater that has been well-maintained. We got to see the Monterey High School choir perform with two folk bands. Great seats throughout the entire theater. Small bathroom stall walls, so tall people have to be mindful. Great staff.
