Honoring the "Rock 'n' Roll Highway 67", Cavanaugh Park is a great place to learn about the history of rock music in the area. So many of the greats played or traveled in the area influencing music for generations.

This park, in the shape of an Epiphone Casino guitar, has stations to stop and read interpretive displays, listen to interviews of musicians, and at a few stops, music, too.

It was fun to do a little dancing along the way.

I was glad I got off the highway to come here and highly recommend it to anyone interested in the roots of rockabilly and other styles of rock.

If you're here, I recommend visiting Beatles Park, too.

A neat little stop if you need a break from driving and are interested in the musical history of the region. There's a guitar built into the ground with signs that feature artists like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, etc. Each sign also plays a recording of music or an interview, but two of the signs didn't work while we were there. It's a 15-20 minute stop if you read all the signs, and there's a gas station down the road if you need to refuel. Just park at the train station and walk right in.

The speaker for Elvis needs some TLC, but a great quick stop at the train station.

Random giant guitar next to the railroad depot. This place ROCKS! actually pretty cool. Don’t forget to go across the way, to where I’m certain the Beatles “accidentally” played back in the day.

This was a fantastic roadside attraction. My husband is a pretty in-depth music buff but was not aware if the Hwy 67 connection to music. This stop is very impressive with the audio presentations and high quality displays. GREAT JOB!!!
