Horseback Wine Country

A little horse tour this afternoon! The sunset didn’t pan out but the ride was fun and interesting! We crossed the river twice, while my phone rode safely in the saddlebag. We headed over and through a winery and then to the top of a hill where we had hoped to view the sunset. The best part was finding out that each of these horses are rescues and all have their own stories! ❤️ My dude was rescued as a wild horse from Mexico just 5 years ago. They are all used as only trail horses now but they wouldn’t even be alive if not rescued. My guide, Brandon, was so informative about the wildlife, vegetation and terrain! He was funny and very attentive to each of us in the small group. I will probably take this tour again next year! ? #snowbirds #Arizona #livingmybestlife

I took my wife and daughter. Kyle was our guide. He let my daughter in the pen to help groom some of the horses before we took off. Kyle took us to see some ruins where we crossed the creek twice, went up and down some pretty fun hills, rode thru the vineyard, then ended on a big overlook where he then showed us all the places we just visited. 10/10 for his trail stories/jokes/banter as well.

My girlfriends surprised me with a sunset trail ride for my birthday! We just landed in Phoenix and drove straight to the Vineyard. It was just me and my guide Brandon. He is an amazing human! I had so much fun conversing with him and learning about the different things we were seeing I forgot to even take pictures! The majority of horses here are rescues. They bring them to good health and determine what type of horse they will be and work them accordingly. This entire property is so beautiful and for sure an experience I want to have again.

Sedona Horseback Rides at Alcantara Vineyards! My husband and I had the best time with Branded and Chaz Brandon was our guide. He was personable and knowledgeable about the area. He was an excellent guide and funny too! When they say, "breath taking views of the mountain range, sites of ancient Indian ruins, river crossings, and riding alongside the vineyard." They're right. So beautiful. Area was clean and maintained horses are sweet Thank you again! Sandra and David

I was born and raised in Phoenix. I know Sedona so well. Just had a four-day weekend with girlfriends in Sedona. We wanted to do something different so we did this horseback ride. It was so beautiful, the trees, the river, back country. Our cowboy guides were so knowledgeable so calm, helpful and fun. I highly recommend everything about this outing. We followed it up by going to the winery next-door. Fabulous. Surroundings were lovely. They had live bluegrass music playing. And we had delicious wine and pizza. Go.

I had a nice ride at sunset. The trail went through some nice scenery by the Verde River. My horse was Ion and she was very well behaved. The guides were very friendly and I had a great time.

Cajun was the best tour guide ever! We loved the group ride so much, my sister and I booked a private ride for the next morning with him before we even left the property. Amazing views, pretty horses, and a knowledgeable tour guide that prioritizes safety. If I ever come back to the area to visit again, im definitely booking another ride with the Cajun Cowboy!

Had a beautiful ride with Brian (great story teller!) through the trails and across the Verde River. Horses were well cared for and very easy to handle. Learned some great history and some interesting animal facts, as well as some vineyard info. Would definitely come back and 100% recommend !!
