My recent encounter with Idols Agency - Models and Actors was unfortunately not what I had hoped for. As a photographer with a specialization in headshots for actors, I reached out to them expressing interest in collaborating on test shoots with models as I am progressing in this field. However, it became apparent from the outset that my inquiry had not been thoroughly considered. Despite providing detailed background information about my experience and intentions, I was directed to fill out forms as if I were applying as an actress or model, rather than in my intended role.

Upon visiting their premises, I was presented with materials that fell below professional standards, including set cards and polaroids that did not reflect the quality of work I strive to produce. Furthermore, I was taken aback by the proposal to pay a significant fee for the book, which felt more like a questionable investment than a legitimate business arrangement.
I inquired about the possibility of selecting my own photographer and team, only to be informed that it was not an option. This lack of flexibility often raises suspicions of questionable practices.

While I acknowledge the evident proficiency of the staff in styling and presentation, their dismissive attitude towards reviewing my portfolio left me feeling undervalued as a potential collaborator. When I inquired about whether they had seen any of my work, the response I received was discouraging, indicating a lack of interest or effort in understanding my capabilities and suitability for collaboration.

It is possible that Idols Agency - Models and Actors may have successful clients who benefit from their services, but my personal experience highlights significant shortcomings in their approach to professionalism and client engagement. As someone who values attention to detail and genuine consideration of client needs, I cannot in good conscience recommend their services without reservations. Potential clients, whether Models, Actors or talent, should approach with caution and manage their expectations accordingly.
