SENIOR PROGRAMS are back!
Every Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm. The first hour every weekday is coffee/tea/socializing. Then from 10-12 each day, a wide variety of programs & activities are scheduled, some of which include: card/board games, painting, exercise, bingo, dominos and more!! Every day is different, so there's something sure to spark interest in everyone!

Jackie Robinson Park is the community park for the residence of Sun Village.
Sun village is a rural Community located in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County; connecting with Littlerock, Lake LosAngeles, and Palmdale along with several other Communities that make up the antelope valley in the High desert.
One of the plus points for me is the parks location, the park is only two blocks away from where I live which makes it very convenient for me. The community park has activities for all age groups. The senior citizen's programs that are available, provides activities that caters to the desired needs of our beloved senior in a safe and beautifully landscaped park. The children's programs are operated under the park's administration which focuses on academic studies, crafts, children stories, basketball for the teenagers and more.
Jackie Robinson Park is well-known for the annual juneteenth celebration held yearly in the month of June. The park host concerts, movie nights during the summer months, Hispanic celebration, Christmas program and many more wonderful programs.
The Los Angeles County parks and recreation Department that over See the park's administration will be introduced to more community programs by way of the .., Community Development Corporation for the Sun Village community which is under the administration of the Truth Foundation Society Inc (TFSi) executive board a nonprofit organization under the Secretary of State for California. The CDC is in place to help with the many programs that will be offered to enrich the lives of not only the residence of the Sun Village Community, but those of the surrounding communities as well. With the influx of new residence of diverse cultures in growing numbers positive programing is necessary in order for a community to thrive.The advisory council board will be the liazon between the executive board and the community.

Lovely park and a wonderful concert. Kudos to the parks department for hosting this amazing group called Incendio with Liza Carbe and J P Durand!
While we don't mind traveling to see such stellar entertainment, please have this group play in our hometown of Tehachapi!!!

We went for the Farmers market. It was small, we only spent a short time there. We got a nice torta from the food truck for lunch and picked up some locally grown veggies. We'll have them with our BBQ tonight. Hopefully, it will get bigger when more people show up there.

I love this park. To play soccer there's a big field. Basketball court outside and inside a structure. Walking with pets is wonderful. Also a playground for kids and a place to exercise. At night it's the best time to be there.
