Amazing indoor concert auditorium! They recently completed a renovation, and the decore is detailed and beautiful. The sound is excellent. There is no bad seat in the venue as you can see and hear from any location, even from the upper rows of the balcony (where we enjoyed a performance of the San Diego Symphony, which was equally impressive). Speaking of seats, all are new and comfortable. The lobbies and staff are welcoming. If you have a chance to enjoy a performance here, please do! Highly recommend!

Wonderful symphony and amazing venue.

The concert hall is beautiful has amazing acoustics.

We saw a delicate but powerful performance of some Saint-Saens pieces and some more contemporary composers. All solidly performed by incredible musicians.

Volunteers are top notch professionals. Not sure why they use volunteers to run this place as they are making plenty of money, but the volunteers are dedicated and seem to add to the special nature of the concert hall. Also, if I could hear the beautiful music in exchange for my time, I suppose this is an amazing place to volunteer. They really are sweet, dedicated and helpful.

The audience has a good decorum, with only a few exceptions. Occasionally some clap out of turn, and some need to keep their noisy candy silent during the performance, but the clientele seem to be some of the finest San Diego has to offer. A fine group of people to enjoy excellent music with.

Must mention that the bathrooms are amazingly clean and well presented.

Had an incredible experience here! The sound is truly incredible. I love the of these old concerts halls and I find it amazing how they were able to keep such good sound quality even in the back, without destroying the beautiful interiors. Overall this concert hall is a great place to go if you’re looking for nice place to see music and the arts!

Friends and I saw Noel Noel on Dec 15th. It was the first time I had seen it since the remodel. What a beautiful venue. The San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the Master Chorale, and the Children's Choir were wonderful. Everyone was so enthusiastic in their singing that it really made the joy of the season shine through. The only issue was parking, but I did manage to find a parking garage close by. It was a wonderful experience.

Some other reviewers need to get over their grumpiness at the delays in completion and associated inconveniences from construction. For heaven's sake! This was an important renovation of a historic venue ... and yes, things take time and inconveniences happen. That's part of living downtown in any major city. I attended the San Diego Symphony's inaugural concert in the renovated Jacobs Music Center in September 2024 and it's FABULOUS! Worth every dollar and every day it took to get it done!

Beautiful refurbishment of this truly unique music space in San Diego.
The acoustics are something that needs to be experienced. Not a bad seat in the house.

We saw Leslie Odom Jr and everyone was blinded by the stage lights. People were leaving early. People were hiding behind their programs for most of the show. Very disappointing that the lights on the audience were overlooked. There was more lighting on the anudience than on the singer. I’m assuming many people will be asking for refunds.

Beautiful, very spacious seats. Beautiful setting.
