The Luckman Fine Arts Complex is a nice room with good sightlines and sound. It's a soft seater venue that's built with an upper and lower level. It doesn't matter where you're seated, the experience will leave you feeling good about the performance. The staff are great and go out of their way to make sure that you enjoy the experience. Everyone I met was welcoming in their approach with a shared enthusiasm for the arts. The theatre has a large parking lot that's a short walk to the venue's front door. Everything from the ticket booth to the front entrance is on the same level making it easier for anyone with special needs or concerns about the venue's accessibility.

We were there to see the UK’s The Kingdom Choir and thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I like the atmosphere and look forward to my return.

The Luckman is located on the campus of Cal State LA. It is pretty easy to fine and parking is great, unless you are disabled and then good luck. Parking is also a little too expensive.

Once there, the place is quite pretty, plain, but pretty. It is also very clean.

You may find getting in to be a tad irritating because the staff at the doors need training. They are not volunteers so they really should know what they are doing and how to direct someone. Again, if you are disabled I wish you luck. They have an elevator at the back of the stage and then there are still a few steps to get to the rows.

The seating is pretty comfortable but way too close together. That goodness for AC.

The sound is great and they have some good shows there. We will be back, but not if the same act is playing elsewhere.

The ushers that help with seating are very nice. The theater seats about 1,200 people so you will be able to see where ever you sit.

I very much enjoy performances at this venue because of its size. I watched a show by Lila Downs where I sat towards the front, and more recently, I watched La Santa Cecilia where I sat in the balcony area (because I waited too long to buy tickets) and I honestly did not mind balcony seats. It’s a small venue where the acoustics are great! The seats are comfortable and good size. There is plenty of parking at the pay-to-park lot outside of the complex. They sell drinks outside of the venue while you wait. If an artist you like is performing here, GO!

Great small venue. The sound for the mariachi concert was perfect. You feel as if it's a more private event. Comfy seating.

What a great experience I had at the Blood In Blood Out Reunion. Watching the movie for the 20th time at least among the very Chicano movie stars that were in the movie. I recommend the luckman fine arts Theater for anyone who wants to hold an event Thank you Cal State LA

Okay this is the first time we have come to the center and it was very nice! 🙂 we had balcony seating for the show and it was pretty good viewing! Parking is plentiful and they charge about $4 for 4 hours.

Melissa Ethridge is better than ever.. truly a fine wine! So grateful to have seen her at the Luckman Theater... awesome sound with intimate feel and comfortable seating if you're not on your feet! Easy parking too! Don't ever miss a chance to see her... she's a legend that makes you feel like an old friend!

Great venue, not to big or small for an up-close, personal performance. Saw Bernadette Peters here and she was magnificent
