As a devoted fan of raw death metal, visiting this legendary recording studio some months ago was an absolutely amazing experience. Many thanks to Jim, Tom, Taylor, and BJ, who shared insights and stories with me about the early days of death metal, giving me a deeper appreciation for the genre's origins.
The music from this studio has accompanied me throughout my life, and getting to know the producers made my visit to the United States even more special. Plus, I got an autograph on a funny piggy bank that now resides in Madrid.
I am very grateful for this experience, thank you so much for being such brilliant yet approachable producers.

I can only rate as a listener to their recordings. And all epic death metal albums from mid 80s to 90s came from Morrisound. Along with Scott Burns you could by any record without going wrong. Thank you for the music, Morrisound and Scott Burns. ❤️🤘🏻

What an awesome experience! It was my son’s first time recording in a studio for a school project. Our engineer, Jon, was amazing! Very knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. He was helpful throughout the whole process. This place is one of the best!

Morrisound Recording has been both a local and international destination for musicians for decades. What has always set them apart from other studios is the friendliness, skill and love for the recording craft as demonstrated by the Morris brothers, Jim and Tom. They have always been the heart of the facility. The brothers have also continuously surrounded themselves with other, knowledgeable and awesome folks who round out the technical and support staff. There is just never a weak link in the family chain.

I've been fortunate to live in the Bay Area and have known Jim and Tom for several of those previously mentioned decades. They have always treated every studio customer the same - whether they were a local, independent band or an international superstar. They have always demonstrated a genuine care for obtaining quality results that the customer could walk away with and share proudly.

In addition to their work, they have also been a long-time supporter of the music scene in ways too numerous to mention. They are not just out to make a buck. Morrisound is an esteemed and loved institution that has earned every bit of the respect, admiration and reputation for quality that they enjoy.

I'm thrilled that they have adapted to the new paradigm in recording techniques and technologies of the current age. As a home recording enthusiast myself, I've said it many times to friends and colleagues that Jim and Tom have forgotten more about recording than I'll ever be able to learn. I've been working with Tom and his crew for over 30 years. I think I've done 8 different albums with Morrisound and I will never use another studio. While they work with internationally known concert performers and recording artists, they will work with the "weekend warrior" to create a professional product at an affordable price. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Simply put....Awesome experience!!!....No better place to record Death metal or any music for that matter, Jim is unquestionably the finest producer I have ever worked with....the Morris family is world class from initial contact to final production!
