After calling ahead a month in advance and being told the museum was open one day a week on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., I drove 2 hours out of my way to come to the museum on Wednesday arriving at 10 a.m. only to be told the museum was opened by appointment only. Why didn't the person on the phone tell me that to begin with?! Furthermore it was very disappointing and disheartening to listen to the people in the main building who apparently have no pride in their heritage, talk about how the museum wasn't worth my time to go see!! Very disorganized. Skip this one go to the creek museum at Atmore instead. It's wonderful! And the people there at that one have much pride in their heritage

Getting to come from my Tribe the St. Croix Band of Ojibwe in Wisconsin to meet my sister and co worker Miram Taylor and represent Magnolia Ranch Recovery in Tennessee which we work for. To sit down and eat and visit with the leadership from the Mowa Band of Choctaw was an honor and dream come true. I was blessed with love and kindness and knowledge for our sick brothers and sisters that suffer from substance abuse and alcohol and crime. To come up with a plan to bring back the true meaning of life in ours and thier communities. I left with hope and faith to bring back to my community and people for a better way to live and new journeys for our sick. We will work hard to help the sick heal and create generational change for our Tribes and people at Magnolia Ranch Recovery if we are blessed to keep doing what we do for our native people.
