We were so glad to have chosen Mike and his team to DJ our wedding. From our first meeting with him, we were so confident in his experience and he definitely lived up to (and exceeded) our expectations. Mike set up speakers on the beach and provided us with microphones for the ceremony, and even dropped off a mic at our welcome party the night before for free! For the reception, he kept things on schedule and kept all of our guests entertained! People danced till midnight (when we had to stop) and he did a great job switching between genres to keep everyone of all ages happy! We are so glad to have had them!!

I would give them 100 stars if I could! One thing I learned during our wedding process is that a DJ / Entertainment Service can make or break your wedding and Mike completely made our wedding! He helped us set up our wedding time line from our very first meeting and made me realize things I had never thought of when it comes to planning a wedding. He knows how to read the room, suggest events (like the shoe game), keep guests entertained and dancing all night! His calm and collected personality is refreshing once things get a little hectic during your wedding. Mike really was a breath of fresh air and completely made our wedding. If you’re shopping around I would highly recommend making Mike with Newcity your first pick!

We chose Mike on a recommendation from a family friend. We could not be happier with our choice for our wedding. He was informative, professional and extremely helpful. He met with us twice in person prior to the wedding to ensure that we were prepared and most of all satisfied. He, and is assistant (Derek, I hope I'm spelling that right) were amazing. We had some changes on the day of the wedding and Mike was able to handle the situation perfectly. His ability to read a crowd, as well as being attentive to us and our guests was top-notch. I would highly recommend him for any event.

On our wedding day all we wanted was great food, great music, a super awesome vibe and for all of our guests to have a blast. Mike from Newcity Entertainment knocked it out of the park for us. He is way more than a DJ and is a very experienced event production company. He kept our wedding moving seamlessly, sounded great but not overpowering on the microphone, and played great jams that kept people moving. He was incredibly professional and didn't need much at all from us to make sure our wedding was a blast. I've already recommended him to multiple brides getting married soon. Dont even think twice about hiring Mike, hes the best in Alaska and we are so grateful we were lucky enough to work with him!

I just want to make any potential and current customers of Newcity Entertainment aware of the shady labor practices of its owner, Michael Newcity, because, as a customer, you all have a right to know who you're REALLY hiring.

Michael pays his employees CASH, does not pay into Social Security, Unemployment, Disability, Worker's Compensation, etc. This also means he's not paying his fair share of taxes. Many times due to constant cash flow issues, employees can go literally months before they get paid for an event they worked. Many events are very long days and Mike will pay his hired help a flat rate for a 17 hour day in some cases, and thereby an employee will make LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE for that event.

And don't even bother asking him where his commercial kitchen is for his salad delivery side business.

Attended the Battle Dawgs fund raiser golf tournament recently. Michael Newcity added an extra element of fun, even with the tournament wrapping up after midnight. Would definitely recommend for your next fund raiser.
