The annual Newport Beach Film Festival is a week-long event full of non-stop movies and activities, its perfect for any movie enthusiast. I’ve attended the festival for a few years now, and I’ve had an amazing opportunity to watch some great films and speak with the actual film makers, crew and actors of many of those films. I've made many friends and enjoyed the celebrations afterwards.

The NBFF knows how to party! 🙂

A lot of work goes behind the scenes to put on this event, all the volunteers and festival coordinators are very welcoming. I can’t wait to return again.

One of the best weeks of the year in O.C. This is a MUST attend event for folks living in this area! Amazing films you won't see anyplace else. (Tip: The Shorts Programs are truly amazing and if you happen to get one quick film your not crazy about, a new one is only a few minutes away. Then, after the group of films "Program" ends the filmmakers come up and answer all your questions!) Don't miss out on the all you can eat and drink (Open Bars) after parties almost every night. Hobnob with the Beautiful People and Movie Stars while enjoying the best food Newport and Costa Mesa have to offer. Just make sure you have someone to drive you home if you have to many free adult beverages!

A gut wrenching feel good, Inspiring story of a struggle of acceptance. The Wizard "Ali" was destined for death by his own people do to his small stature, and through his will to persevere with strong family values and upbringing he overcame each obstacle that was put in front of him. From Iran to Petaluma where it was not only navigating the Iraqi minefields but the same yet different non acceptance for appearance caused from global political events is what made this story gut wrenching but at the same time inspiring. Having my own parents migrate from world war II to the US, the geography although different have the same struggles and inspirations that everyone needs to step back and not judge by appearance but by faith in our fellow mankind to do good and well.

Great movie and I recommend to everyone a MUST see especially if you love a story like Rocky or Karate Kid, you will leave the theater with those same emotions. You won't be disappointed!!!
