A Fantastic Spot by the Water

This is an excellent place to dine, located conveniently near the bridge over the Indian River with its own deck. We’ve already visited twice, arriving by boat, docking right at the restaurant, and stepping inside. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

One bonus is the ice cream café nearby—delicious and perfect for a sweet treat after your meal.

I’d rate the restaurant a solid 5. While it’s not brand new, the slight wear adds to the charm of the place. I highly recommend visiting, whether by boat or by car. One tip though: it’s best to come early. After 1:30 PM, the wait can be quite long, with a noticeable line to get in.

Love this place!! The food, service and atmosphere were great! William was our server and he was great! he was fast, friendly, and had a great attitude! The food was tasty portions were very large. I love being on the river. We will definitely go back!! Highly recommend this place for a great casual seafood experience! 👍

I found this great place on Google Maps and based on the reviews I thought we would try it out. We weren’t disappointed.
The menu was extensive and the food was great as was the drinks.
The location is beautiful and you can sit on the deck over the water and watch the world go by.
Staff are friendly and make sure everyone is happy.

My burger wasn't flavored/bland but the hush puppies were good. My husband enjoyed the platter much better than Hidden Treasures down the road. You order your food when you get there. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was about a 20 minute wait for ordering the food then waited about 20 minutes for food. The waitress said she was bringing me malt vinegar but never did but another waitress swung by five minutes later which I was grateful for. You can tell some staff members are pulling their weight more than others. Seagulls will get you so beware but they have shades to help block them out.

Prices were average for the area.

Most of my friends like this place better than I do. Been here a few times, more often since DJ's Deck closed down, but it still hasn't grown on me much. Often takes a long time to order...single file at the counter while you enter the restaurant. Lousy system. Best part is being by the water.

UPDATE: We went back and I think the tea may have been $3.99!
If so, or if $3 or more, we're going to have to make some modifications. That's pushing it for water with some flavor and is just not right. That has nothing to do with inflation. Can't imagine our 10 (or 25 in the summer) coming and paying $40-$100 for tea. Crazy. Nobody is going to leave if you charge .10 for water...nobody (put a sign up), but gauging the rest of us is tough. * Love DDU and have been going there I guess since it opened many years ago. We bring parties of 30+ there every July when family comes to visit. Great food always - the rings are incredible. Can't beat the spicy shrimp deal if paying part in cash, only wish if our bill was $100 we could pay all in cash and get more shrimp!! 🙂 Best fried shrimp place for us, and fries are excellent. Always have nice people, we've known some of them for many years even as we run into them other places.

I saw some reviews saying the food was bad and the service was horrendous, and honestly hesitated going to this restaurant because of those reviews. However, I finally visited and really enjoyed the experience. The scallops were fresh and well done, the food was definitely fresh, and we had some excellent fries. You're right on the water, with free seating. Grab a menu at the entrance and order at the counter. The cashier that took our order was very sweet and welcoming. Food is typical for a seafood restaurant on the water, offering some really nice items on the menu. Family and kid friendly. We enjoyed our time and eats at this place.
