My husband and I had a wonderful evening last night. Our food and drinks were delicious. Shaun gave us great recommendations. Brandon, the host, was very personable. We are new to LA, and the whole restaurant welcomed us. The live jazz band "The David Leech Quartet" had an awesome vibe. Everything was perfect and enjoyable.

My waiter wasn't the best. He was obviously feeling the pressure of the packed setting, tipped him all the same. Nonetheless, the atmosphere was awesome.

The reason I gave the food a lower rating is because I'm gluten intolerant and don't eat fish, seafood, or pork. That said, the options were very limited for me. I ate the roasted potatoes and chicken sausage, which were very good. The good news is they have unlimited mimosas and sangria, which was delicious. The musician, Brandon, the saxophonist, was out of this world. Overall, it's a great vibe. I would definitely return back, I just make plans for my dietary restrictions prior to going.

We had a great time.
Great band and music.
Good food and prompt fast service.
The only thing that made me to give 4 stars for service is that they brought the check as soon as we were done with dining, despite the fact that it was not very crowded and there was no waiting line.

I attended brunch for the first time for a birthday celebration. Pips is not very roomy, but they had plenty of space for a party of 17. There were several birthday parties that day. The food was amazing buffet style. Not buffet on normal dining days. I will be bringing my mother here soon. Brunch costs $65 a little pricy. I couldn't get a to go tray. 😒

I had a frustrating experience at Pips on La Brea today. The customer service was extremely disappointing. After I clearly asked not to be approached, a staff member followed me to my table, which was both unprofessional and intrusive. Despite my polite request, he continued to engage with me. Please note that appearances can be deceiving—this pretty smile does not mean I tolerate poor service. The Manager Brandon is super unprofessional. Today's brunch was supposed to celebrate Fairfax High's 100 year anniversary and this Manager was horrible and ended everything on a very unpleasant note. I do not recommend you have any events here. I have photos of the staff packing up all the food that other folks paid for that was taken away early. SHAME on them.

See attached photos of the little food the Manager Brandon put back out after we said something... but you can see the employees had to-go boxes stacked up with food.

Their response inaccurately claims that I did not make a payment, which is entirely false. Fairfax High coordinators, including Marla Wilson, paid $65 in advance for three individuals who ultimately did not attend. Later, we were informed that we needed to pay for an additional 23 people, bringing the total to $65 per person. Therefore, Pips on La Brea did not incur any loss from the Fairfax High Sentinel Celebration.

Marla Wilson has sent multiple emails and left several voicemails with no response, which is once again unacceptable.

I want to clarify that the issue wasn't about the to-go boxes. The real problem was that the food was removed more than 30 minutes before brunch ended, without any last call or warning. Additionally, I'm certain that the response I'm receiving is from the manager I had already complained about, not the owner. Brandon's attitude and disrespect towards not just me but others was unacceptable. I strongly encourage the owner to review the video footage, listen to the audio from Brandon’s microphone, and examine the photos I took to understand that this was not a minor issue. Moreover, Fairfax had reserved the restaurant for brunch that day and had paid in advance. It’s crucial for you to gather all the facts before addressing such a serious complaint about what occurred this past Sunday at Pips on La Brea.

Unacceptable. The response below highlights the quality of management and service you’re dealing with.

This grown and sexy spot is really the only place for people to go in LA that love, great music both live and DJ, a beautiful patio section and a cozy inside settings. Drinks are amazing, prices a pretty good for California, and the own PIP is always there to greet you with a smile and great energy. Food could be better....however, my go to spot when in Los Angeles 😋

Somewhat disappointed in the Valentines dinner, mainly due to poor service. Three course meal was very good. Lobster bisque was some of the best that I've had. First course was brought 20 minutes apart for my partner and I, which was awkward. My steak was overcooked. Overall value was good, service sucked.
