Deals are great here. Still scratching my head over why the store is still half empty after the total store buy out a while back🤔🤔🤔 also the hours here are treacherous. 11-2 only . Please adjust. Other than that this is a cool shop in a good location

Been coming here for years, this was my first indie record store EVER, and PoS has a special place in my heart. Unfortunately after liquidating 2+ years ago, they haven’t rebuilt a fraction of what this amazing store used to be. I tend to favor PoS for RSD and indie exclusive releases, but as of late things have been messy and dishonest. The owner/employees advertise on social media very minimally, but refuse to provide more information at all than what is on their infrequently used Instagram. RSD releases are price gouged ($45 the day of, $25 the next, for example) and there are no festivities or stock information shared. They advertise special events with limited items that they may or may not receive (or like today they only received 5 copies but refused to share that information until opening once people had waited hours. Several of us in line had contacted them via Instagram and were left on “read”) baiting you into their shop. Everyone has always been very kind and the store has a great atmosphere but they really need to amp up advertising and be a bit more transparent with customers.

Not worth going to this shop anymore. Hardly any stock left, sad situation. Barely even a record store anymore. Just sucks, don't waste your time here.

Port of Sound is awesome. The selection at this place is HUGE! Its crazy cause we didnt expect much from the outside but were blown away when we stepped inside. We spent a long time here just browsing. I honestly wanted to buy the whole store haha, they have so many gems here and they keep everything pretty organized. They even have anime/video game records! All the genres you wouldn't really expect to see at other places.

Great store. Very organized. Clean, tidy. Decent amount of people coming in and out. Very much a millennial crowd. 90% of the store and I'd imagine their sales are from digital sound vs analog. Which appeals certainly to main stream. Those buying the newer record players this is right up your alley. No turntables sold here but plenty of support the vinyl collector. Posters too! I felt prices were high but also comparable to most shops of the like. Will absolutely go again.

I recently bought an expensive record from Port of Sound's online store. They shipped it to me a few states away, very carefully packaged. I had been looking for this record for years and Port of Sound had the best price I've seen on it in years. Fantastic store; will buy from again.

So shocked to discover the best record shop in Orange County is located so close to home. Loved their layout with the space they had and how they set up drawers under the crates. Dopest record selection I’ve seen outside of LA.

Awesome place! I was planning on going to another record shop nearby but I found out that this shop was closer to me. I was overwhelmed by all the records they have here. Quite an amount of new and used records. Purchased Michael Jackson - Thriller and found a used copy of The Moody Blues - Question of Balance in excellent condition.

Will absolutely come back to this store when I'm in the area for all my record needs.

P.S.

Dont forget to purchase your outer plastic record sleeves from this store. 🙂
