Visited while in Texas. Good selection of records. Talked to the owner who helped me search for a couple hard to find albums. Did not find them but like i said they are hard to find. Answered my questions about RSD since i was going to be in Texas during the event. Returned on Saturday... long line but it went smoothly and I managed to get the RSD releases I was looking for. Check them out if you are in the area!

I was on a mission to find a vinyl record shop and wound up here, and I am glad I did. I spent no less than 2 hours searching through their selection, and not once did they harass me. It was AMAZING! While I was checking out, spending way more than I wanted, I looked over and saw a vintage turntable in great shape. BAM! There goes another $50. If I were you, I would make a special ial trip to Red Zeppelins, you won't regret it.

Red Zeppelin is a cool record store in downtown McKinney. Now located in a new space adjoining to The Groovy Coop, Red Zeppelin continues to offer an excellent selection of new and used vinyl, CDs, cassettes, some players, and more. One of my favorite things about Red Zeppelin is just browsing the store and listening to whatever record they happen to be playing when I stop in. I've literally bought albums simply because I liked what I heard when I walked in the store! The staff are always friendly and generally helpful. The only thing I don't like about the store is that sometimes it seems like they don't have what I'm looking for and also can't readily order it. I've been told various versions of it not being available to order, yet somehow I've later been able to buy it from Target or Barnes & Noble. Maybe the distributors don't have any because the major retailers bought huge quantities? I don't know. But it's frustrating to sometimes ask, "hey can you get this for me," and be basically told "no" when I can pull it up and order it online in 30 seconds. It's totally baffling why a store that sells soap, groceries, and bedsheets can get a record that a store specializing in music can't. I want to support local businesses but I can't when they can't provide access to product. On the other hand, they still have a lot of great stuff and often do have what I'm looking for in stock. Thru also offer access to more inventory online too. In terms of value, in a world where practically every song can be streamed an unlimited number of times on-demand with no ads for less than $15/month...vinyl is an expensive luxury item. With that said, their prices seem pretty on par with competitors. Overall whenever I want a record or just want to discover some great music, this is one of my first stops. Drop in and check it out!

I was looking to preorder a specific limited edition vinyl through Red Zeppelin online but had some questions. I called in and they were able to answer my questions about shipping. Really pleased with the customer service from this local store and glad I was able to preorder the item from them. Look forward to supporting them more in the future!

This store is excellent. I just bought my first turntable this week. Swing by with my family to buy my first vinyl. The staff was super friendly and they had a great selection. Will definitely return in the future.
