My husband and I recently moved to the Livermore area and were looking to buy our first house. We were recommended to use Steve Eveleth as a realtor by some good friends. We contacted Steve and he responded immediately with excitement and motivation to help us find the perfect home. Steve was flexible in working with our difficult schedule. He was always quick to respond to us whenever we had questions and was very patient in working with us, as we were purchasing our first home and had much to learn. Fortunately, we found a house we loved and got an offer accepted. While in escrow Steve kept us informed and updated every step of the way. He constantly worked on getting us the best deal possible and made sure we were happy and comfortable with the decisions we were making. Steve was also able to create a great working relationship with our loan agent, making the process even smoother. Working with Steve, we had a realtor who was honest, up front and fun to work with. Steve is a very effective and efficient realtor. I was selling my father's house, a difficult sale because it was a real fixer and being sold 'as is'. We accepted an all cash offer in 5 days and it closed 11 days after that. The closing process was very easy and stress free. Steve is very well connected and knowledgeable about the Livermore area, so he was able to set up various home inspections very quickly. He explained everything very well and was transparent about pricing, how the process of selling a house works, what we needed to do (and didn't need to do) to prepare the house, and the expected timeline, as well as who would be most likely to be the buyer of the house (an investor who will repair it and remodel it for resale) and what a fair price would be. He kept me apprised of every step via text, emails and phone calls. I highly recommend Steve.

As first time home buyers, we wanted to make sure that we found a realtor we really trusted and who was able to answer all of our questions for us. Steve came highly recommended by a couple of our friends who successfully found their new homes with his help. We were so impressed with Steve’s ability to walk us through the process of buying our first home. He was very transparent and honest when we were looking at homes and with our crazy work schedules, it was wonderful to have a realtor who was available whenever we needed him.
We were thrilled that Steve is not only experienced and fun to work with, but he also has so many contacts who are willing to help with anything you need. Steve was so nice and sent out a landscaping team and a cleaning company to the house the day before we moved in so that we were able to start our move with a clean slate. He also was able to provide contacts for local locksmiths and construction companies that he trusted so we didn’t have to try to find help on our own.

Steve was able to get my house SOLD during one of the most challenging periods of recent home sales history in late 2022 when the FED raised rates dramatically 2X in a row causing buyers to run for the hills. The contract terms were favorable for me even in a shifting market where other agents were throwing in the towel and just lowballing prices to get homes sold. He provides very professional and direct, consistent, communication to his clients and holds their hand through the entire process. Working with Steve felt like a team sport, we debated strategies, if something needed adjustment at the home I would make it happen & if I needed him to make accommodations on the sales, marketing side he made it happen.
I would recommend Steve if you want to get your house sold in a way that makes YOU feel comfortable you are in control.

We could not have been more pleased to have Steve as our realtor for the selling of our home. From start to finish he had our back. Steve helped us with the beginning phase of selling our house by recommending a reasonably priced landscaper to put in a lawn and then even helped us by getting him to shave a little more off the price. Steve then added to our front yard by adding some plants and flowers that he picked out himself for us! When he saw that my husband was fading from fatigue,Steve would jump in with whatever the task was at hand.
One of the most helpful things was Steve covered the cost of a basic Staging consultation to help us get our house ready for photos and the Open House.
Unfortunately, we listed our home right when the market took a dip. Steve helped us ride the ups and downs that came along with a buyers market. In the end we were able to make a reasonable sale on our house. If it had not have been for Steve and his great team, we would have surely made some blunders. It was great having them by our side to get through some rocky negotiations. We would highly recommend Steve to anyone as a wholehearted, committed Realtor.

It took us over two years to find the house we wanted, and Steve was with us every step of the way, patiently opening doors for us. But the real value of working with Steve comes once your offer is accepted. This crazy housing market requires very short contingency periods, but Steve knows half this town, and will be able to get it all done in record time while communicating with the seller agent and working with your loan officer to make sure it's all going smoothly. We moved in 3 months ago, and are still in touch with him regularly for great recommendations on tree removal, yard renovation, A/C replacement, you name it. Cannot recommend him enough.
