I took Tara's modeling class and she is really an educator. It's not just because she is a professional who knows how to build up a modeling career from the first lesson to winning pageants or booking great gigs, she also understands how to communicate the instructions to different students. For the male students, people whose parents bring them to classes and auditions, and even for the owner of the business, Mike, she is essential to success.

Mike is essential to success as well, constantly checking up and providing security. He has a very direct way of talking to people and bringing his thoughts across. I feel like I'm listening to a college professor! He doesn't have time for everyone but he has time to communicate the essential information.

I started taking this school 2 years ago and I cannot believe how much I grew and learned. As an 8 year old, I got my very first agent in just 2 months! My very first job at that time was less than 2 weeks doing a music video. Now as a 10 year old I booked a lot of jobs like a Toyota commercial, aquarium of the Pacific commercial, Universal studios epic universe commercial, and few movies such as Unstoppable directed by
Ben Affleck and Jennifer lopez as a supporting cast. Also, voiceovers and my favorite, Theater acting in Hollywood. This school teaches everything that is performing arts. Very professional and very kind too. The staff treats everyone like family. I would also like to thank my modeling coach Tara. Because she helped me train for her pageant, which I won for the state title of Little Miss Arizona 2024. Then I competed for the whole nation and won for the title Little Miss United States 2024. Whether it's modeling, acting, voiceovers, singing, dancing, the teachers encourage the students like me, to learn with sometimes challenges or games! You can really rely on your teachers to help with your auditions. I still actively take this school and attend it everyday. Learning gets funner each and everyday. If you plan on checking out this school, be prepared to be amazed in the field of performing arts. I'm Georgina Ang.

My daughter has always loved acting. We tried for years to get her into anything and it failed. Then, Mike called from Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts and she's killing it! She loves her teachers, she loves her auditions. Her self-confidence, and self-esteem, has shot through the roof. Even her school drama teacher has noticed an amazing difference in her performances.

Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts (SCSOPA) has been a blessing for our family. Since my daughter started attending the performing arts school we see her more confident, independent and even academically at the top of her class this year.
SCSOPA’s flexibility with in person and online classes makes it easy for talents to attend classes from anywhere. We live in Las Vegas and we take their classes online twice a week. It is simple as that. Their staff and teachers are stellar and dedicated to their students. Miriam has been a wonderful help whenever we needed something or have questions regarding the classes. We have the privilege of working with 2 incredible teachers, both well established actors, Ms. Karen Furno and Ms. Marina Anderson. They not only creatively provide their knowledge in the craft, but also provide valuable insights on the business aspect of the industry, i.e. signing with agencies/management, what to look for in a contract, the Coogan Law for talents under 18 years of age, individual states laws and requirements for minor entertainer under 18 years of age. What and Where to look for the answers for parents that are new to the industry, as well as red flags on management/agency contract agreements or warning signs to look for in scammers.
One of the school’s greatest perks is their weekly Saturday meetings with reputable agencies of the industry. Let me tell you, we’ve taken online program in modeling and acting with Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. What did we achieve at the end of the program, that cost so much? Besides basic training, very basic knowledge of the business aspect of the industry, and a certificate for graduating the program, we are still left with tons of uncertainties, inadequate knowledge of the industry and have no clue on where to acquire industry agents. At SCSOPA, they arrange the meetings with industry’s top agents and the teachers prepare talents before meeting with these agents. The school hosts events like the Macy’s and JC Penny Fashion Show several times a year, providing a fun, relaxed yet professional environment for talents to practice and build confidence while gaining hands on experience.
The school’s stellar reputation already speaks for itself. They are rated A+ with BBB Accredited Business, recognized as Best of Santa Clarita Business Hall of Fame for over 16 consecutive years, and was recently honored as a Beloved Business of 2024 on Yelp. Our experience with the school, staff and teachers has been transformative: it’s good to have the right support, answers and to know the whereabouts to look for answers. I highly recommend Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts to anyone who’s passionate about the industry and ready to advance onto the next chapter of their journey.

We love SCSOPA! We’re in the Bay Area and my daughters take zoom classes. I have to say, the quality of the classes are amazing. They are small and my daughters have even had one-on-one sessions at times. They really care about the success of your kids. They are responsive, supportive and facilitate meetings with Agents. My daughters got the chance to audition in front of agents the very first month that we started -AND- got a call-back! Since that time, my daughter’s commercial monologue skill have improved exponentially. They are confident and ready to expand their horizons, thanks to SCSOPA!

I highly recommend SCSOPA! Mike and his staff have gone above and beyond to help my daughter get the best start and start building her foundation the right way. We connected through Kids Casting and what a blessing it has been. Since we live in Texas my daughter attends weekly zoom classes. Each class is met with professionalism and friendly teaching styles. The teachers use encouragement and openness, but also push you for more and always offer great insight to help you grow. My daughter has received great advice and training to help her move forward to obtain goals. I highly recommend SCSOPA!

We've been going here in person since August and in that time my 7 year old has helped cowrite a song, been in a couple department store runway shows, and been signed by one of the top agents in Los Angeles. She's learned about voice over acting, live acting and drama, she's gotten resume help and had professional headshots taken... they basically provide all the tools you could possibly need to get into the business, learn the skills necessary to be successful, and connect you with the people that can find you work. The teachers are established in their respective fields and the environment is friendly and casual. Things have been busy, we've been getting called to auditions every couple days, it's a great time to get into performing, and this is the place to do it!
