My son has been taking guitar lessons from Paul for 9 years. Paul has an exceptional ability to tailor his lessons and approach to the student's learning style and temperament. His communication skills, empathy and effective use of technology have made learning over Zoom a success. Paul inspires his students to want to learn and improve and encourages their own musical exploration. Since my son started lessons just after finishing kindergarten and is now in high school, I can also say that Paul relates equally well with young children and teenagers. Having Paul as a teacher and mentor has been a great gift.

Our son, now nearly 10 years old, started taking lessons via zoom at the start of the pandemic, and his progression is truly amazing after almost 3 years with almost all of lessons being virtual. Paul is an amazing educator, mentor, musician…and a master of using the Zoom platform with his special studio set-up. Virtual lessons has been great for our busy family schedule. He is perceptive and adapts lessons on the fly, able to engage attention and enthusiasm in those moments with our son seems tired or spacey (like after a long day of school activities). Suzuki platform works great for guitar and as skills develop, Paul introduces contemporary songs based on our son’s interests. We have had a few in-person lessons which are amazing as well, and wish we could do more. Paul has an uncanny ability to be positive while pushing his students to continually improve. I have seen many music teachers between my experience playing guitar/violin as well as that of my other kids….Paul Sarafin is truly the best I have seen!!

My boys have had many educators throughout the years and Paul Sarafin has been the most influential by far. Both of my sons have had the amazing opportunity to play with Paul for about 4 years. He is very knowledgeable in teaching the Suzuki method of guitar. He has a true passion for this instrument and it shows! He is kind, patient and cares deeply about each individual

I have been talking guitar lessons from Paul for many years. Paul has many tools to help students improve and enjoy learning to play guitar. Paul has been instructing my kids for the past 4-5 years. He is an amazingly creative, skillful and talented guitar instructor that holds his students to a high standard-- yet the kids seem only to be having fun! His style of teaching has taught my kids to love and appreciate music and to understand that to achieve their goals, they have to apply themselves. It has been an asset to have them enrolled during their developmental years and now my oldest wants to continue on with guitar indefinitely! He really has a perfectly blended ability to encourage, motivate and support, without putting too much pressure on kids that might otherwise "burn them out". He is sincere and dedicated and I can't say enough-- in my opinion, there is not a better music instructor out there.

My son started with Paul about 2 1/2 years ago and our family has only amazing wonderful things to say!!! Paul is just patient, kind, and talented. He has gone above and beyond making certain that Desi is learning music he loves to play, which keeps him engaged. We were even surprized when at the last recital Desi played the Beatles song, Blackbird... a tribute to his late grandmother. Can not recommend Paul highly enough!
